hmmm... i wasn't into the i am/SF album, but bday and SF are the two works from her that put the most points in the paint, the singles from those albums were doing numbers and everywhere, and it gave her one of her top 5 iconic songs, Halo
I think Lemonade is iconic as well.

SF has big singles but it’s not a good project. I guess double albums are always going to be the weakest album from an artist

they did different things, beyonce was like real grown ass beyonce, music got a lot sexier and and she stopped presenting herself as the super perfect media trained artist she had been from DC days to 4, it was a surprise after a 3 year break, which was long for her at the time. plus the whole surprise drop.
bday was a chartbuster (just saw she had 14 different versions of this album
), but it was very expected music expertly crafted by all the top writers and producers, like you better chart well with the dream, neyo, rich harrison, sean garrett, pharrell, dark child and good beat swizz beats all on one album - they made a shiny package of pretty radio songs
