True but my point is people act like she should win because her albums are hand down the best. They are great albums but that doesn’t mean other artist aren’t releasing great work as well.

From my point of view, people are upset because she put a lot of work into Renaissance and it had more impact than Harry's House and Un Verano Sin Ti. If that is so, and her album(s) is great like you said, shouldn't she win AOY?

Beyoncé is talented, excellent performer and a hard worker but…..

Most of her albums range from solid to really good. The same can be said for all artist though imo

The only AOTY snub she truly had was Lemonade. The album alone isn’t all of that but I feel it was a really great cohesive piece of work.

The best thing about Beyoncé was the release.

This recent album is better than Beyoncé but it’s not what people make it out to be imo

Also she lacks hit songs. She hasn’t had any true hits this last decade. Maybe 3, and that’s not alot compared to the amount of music she released.

I don’t think you can appeal to many people outside of your fan base with an album full of album cuts no matter how good they are.

If she gets back to making hits, I think she can win AOTY!

Break My Soul was number 1 hit single and Cuff It was number 10. I have no idea how much of a “Hit”’single she can release

Well, people do this for more than just Beyonce. This happened with Kanye as well. He was nominated for AOTY a couple of times, but never won even though the albums were critically acclaimed and commercially successful more so than the albums that won over him. Same deal with Beyonce except Harry Styles, Adele, and Taylor Swift sold more.

If I had to pick, Beyonce's self titled Beyonce album should've been the album that won the year it was nominated. At the time, it was the highest rated album by a female artist on Metacritic. Her self titled album was the first of the surprise albums and set the trend of the surprise drop. Not only that, but the album dropped on a Friday and the industry changed release dates to Friday because of it. This also popularized visual albums. That album revitalized and redefined Beyonce and her career.

Beck beats out his competition and wins album of the year for 'Morning Phase.'

Beck took home one of the top honors at Sunday’s 57th Grammy Awards: album of the year.

The musician won the award for Morning Phase over Beyonce‘s Beyonce, Ed Sheeran‘s X, Sam Smith‘s In The Lonely Hour and Pharrell Williams‘ Girl.

Beck ushered his fellow collaborators up on the Staple Center stage and, among the typical thank-yous, sent a special shout-out: “I’d like to thank my kids for letting me keep them awake a little longer,” the five-time Grammy award-winning artist said, explaining that he had recorded the album from his house.

This year, Smith and Beyonce were tied for the most nominations with six, but Smith has more in the major categories. Still, Beyonce’s six nods have officially made her the most Grammy-nominated woman in history.

Beck previously won for best rock album earlier in the Grammys preshow ceremony.

She’s objectively a good performer, considering singing and dancing well at the same time does take talent. But as far as being an “artist,” I never saw her as one of our best

I personally think Beyoncé is one of the most overrated musical artists of all time, behind people like The Beatles and Kiss. Her fans latch onto literally anything she puts out and act like it’s the greatest thing released in years when in reality it probably doesn’t crack top 10 R&B albums of the year it’s released.

I wouldn’t dare say this on Twitter or to my mother and sister cause I don’t have the time or energy. But I’m tired of pretending like it ain’t the truth.
