As far as the current generation that's coming to be, I think that alot of us are much smarter the previous generations. I mean we live in the information age, where endless knowledge is in our pockets on our mini computers /phones. I have alot of hope for our generation because it's in our hands now to make sure things are laid out well for the coming generations.
:francis:quick question. What exactly are you seeing in this generation to be so optimistic cuz i don't see it

Literally the only thing older black ppl can really say about younger ppl is that some of us are making the grave mistake of following in their same footsteps (following their same fukked up blueprint). I'm not one of them though, fortunately.

Some of you are so gullible that you would follow the advice of an old person, JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE OLD. :snoop:

Just because someone's older doesn't automatically mean they're right. I'm not saying go around being rude to old ppl, i'm not rude to them, i just ignore their advice in general, esp if they're on that "it's better to have a job from the white man" brainwashed shyt. I don't want to be the "typical" negro, who's docile and doesn't strive for more than the "black male status quo"

And let's be honest, A LOT of these older cats are condescending towards younger men, when they really shouldn't be. In all the years you've been alive, what did you build, nikka?

Old people are the worse. Them and their fake ass Jesus. They learned nothing from their book of fairy tales.

The Israelites did not pray the Philistines away. They killed them.

There should be random white cops swinging from trees with no possible leads on who did it. They should be terrorized just the same as our people.

"I like the bible, except for the parts where god told the Israelites to get off their asses and fight for their land."

this is what matters

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Get money with other black people and build

We have to insulate ourselves cuz white supremacy ain't going nowhere
My thoughts exactly. Even if you don't want to get with other blacks, at least position yourself by staying out of debt and making wise investments in black businesses.

This is a post from that Jason Black thread:

I'm not saying it's all old black people...but a lot. Listen to them if u want to, but you'll end up 50 yrs old working with some teenagers and early 20 somethings, hoping for retirement even though u still got like 15 yrs to go, working in some warehouse or cooking for cacs etc.

Even the old black ppl with actual careers still tend to have the same advice, they're just glad they got a job, they don't talk about moving up in the company, or leaving for a better paying company, they think you're supposed to just get a job and stay put forever in the same place, and only will leave if they get laid off or fired...in other words by force. Old black ppl preach and practice complacency, and "accept whatever u get". If you're old and don't have a business, never owned a business, or don't own land or something, your advice is bullshyt...i'm not gonna listen to you just because of your age, you struggling, living paycheck to paycheck but wanna look down on young ppl who take a different route than you

This is old black ppl's "advice": go to school, get a job, if u don't get the job you're qualified for...take any job and stay there for 40+ years :flabbynsick:....they did that and think u should too

They don't get that cacs and other races pass businesses down, and practice nepotism...even if Tyrone and Keisha get a job from them, what happens if they get laid off, which happens a lot, they have to go back out there and start all over again, its easier for Jake and Becky to do that, us not so much

I don't listen to old black ppl's advice unless they're an entrepreneur, or at least successful and doing well

A lot of them don't understand the system, they think they do but really don't. "You got a job, you'll be ok" :beli:

My uncle thought having a job at Target made him "okay", until they laid him off one day, at like 59 yrs old, so nikka had to get out there and apply a bunch of places but hardly anybody is trying to hire somebody that old, he finally found something else after a long time but it was another bullshyt wage job, nikka was almost 60 struggling to pay the rent, but he used to try to talk me out of starting my own business

They think it's honorable to bust your ass for 40+ years, at the same level. What part of the game is that? Now they're old as fukk with bad knees, bad backs, etc and telling us to go accept a menial, unstable job from a cac and stay there for the rest of our life like they did :why: I want to pass something down to my kids. I can't pass a job down to my kids. A business yes, but not a job, no matter how "good" the job may be. I don't want my son or daughter to have to go out there begging cacs for an opportunity, and have nothing to fall back on

This post and DrX's post in here are on point.

There is no plight.

It is easy for anyone to be successful and stay out of trouble in this country.

All you literally have to do is Excel in school and not get arrested and you will be very successful.

In terms of cops, all you literally have to do is be respectful and stay calm and you won't get shot. In all these cases the person getting arrested is provoking the cops in some way. Your ego is not worth getting shot.

I shouldn't have to lick a cop's butthole so I won't get murdered.

fukk outta here fukk boy.

White people don't have to walk on eggshells, assure the cop he's safe and non-threatening and be slow to make any movements. fukk outta here.

The genration that fukked things up was the one that came after the civil rights movement.
The brothers and sisters of the 70's really did nothing to sustain the work thier parents did.

I agree too. Baby Boomers fukked EVERYONE.
They most certainly did. They were too busy getting theirs off the labors of the previous generation and at the expense of successive generations. I see it every day at work.

These old union fat cats came up from the the blood sweat and tears of the labor movement and had their hands out going "gimme gimme" even when the getting it was good. The auto industry damn near died cuz of the greed on both sides, and before this new contract, new employees were getting fukked on everything from pay to bennies, and they didn't give a fukk. Had nerve enough to tell us "If you don't like it, go work at McDonald's." In fact, a lot of them are making six figures plus, but STILL want more.

These uneducated inbred rednecks can't read Green Eggs And Ham without breaking out in a sweat, but make more than most folks with degrees :stopitslime:

Because he's one of those who use talking points that are evasive and hold no water. So when confronted he tries make you look like the dumb one. Those type f people on this forum are the real agents. They see blacks having constructive and productive conversation, and they come in to derail. He can't answer any real questions, just like that M. I. C poster I was arguing with.

I swear, you 2 might be some of the dumbest motherf*ckers that I've encountered on this site :snoop:

Our grandparents did good by marrying our grandmothers, building stable families and taking care of the community. And by grandparents, I mean blacks who were adults from the 1940s - 1970s. I know both my grandfathers were good men that took care of their wives, their children and their families. Their flaw was integration. Having rights as citizens is one thing but, they should've been more concerned about building their communities than integrating into the white ones. I get it from a parent's perspective. You want the best for your kids. You want them in the best schools, you want access to better paying jobs, you aint thinking about building up nothing but, as we see now, we're paying for it because we own nothing. So our grandparents did good in some regards and did poorly in others. Basically a lack of foresight into the future. Now our parent's generation did horrible. People who were adults from the 1970s - 1990s. I realize alot of it was due to external factors but, they set us back. They didn't build upon anything their ancestors had built up until that point. It obviously wasn't all our parent's generations but, a large amount in that generation fukked up. It's up to the Milennials to do something...and if we don't Generation Z gonna be looking at us funny. We'll just be a bunch of nikkas that talked but, didn't change nothing.

Their would be ZERO politicians in office if it wasn't for the cr movement. You are trying to downplay that. Changes have to start on the local level, with no AAs in that position, how are we suppose to go about the change then.
