Rap is not the problem, but the music conspiracy is real. Rap to me is one of the most pure forms of music that allows individuals to transmit advanced thought in song...but it's not being used in that way anymore. It's a powerful weapon that is being utilized as a detriment against black folks nowadays. Lyricism is no longer important..it's all sales based and once big business gets involved in anything the good faith interests of consumers is neglected.

Tribe called quest,Souls of mischief,Epmd,Nice and Smooth,Pete Rock and Cl smooth,pharoah monch,Nas are examples of rappers who don't promote violence and negativity.

Video Games and Movies have just as much negative influence as rap music.The problem in the black community is way deeper than rap.What was the excuses for the violence and drug abuse in the early to mid 70's before hip hop became mainstream?
