who cares, what have they done to benefit black women?
Slowly but surely the needs of black women wll be pushed to the forefront. With black women leading in college enrollment and doing their best to keep our communities together, they'll finally get the support they need hopefully. If we're not their allies someone else will be, trust me.

You're not trying to come up with solutions but to shift blame. Your post have been consistent with this mentality.
i've posted given solutions dozens, if not hundreds of times throughout posting on coli. but it includes females being held accountable for their actions; and BW are having none of that

Can the sistas explain to me what Black feminists are looking to gain exactly? :hmmjb:

I consider it more of a perspective or framework for action. It doesn't have to be backed up by activism, but it can be.

I think if a black woman supports men (and women) calling her a bytch, ho, slut, c*nt, or just sits in the corner and lets men (and other women) degrade her simply because she's a sista, that's pretty weak. I'm not sure what the anti-feminists people expect women to do when people talk shyt about black women. Roll over and just say "yes sir, I's a bytch and I's a ho, even though you don't know me!" Why would anyone agree to do that? Black women get shytted on for their gender and race, by everyone (including other black women who have been brainwashed into thinking its cute to degrade women to earn cool points from men). Black feminism offers a counter perspective. I don't consider it a war against black men or some sort of hate trip, just a perspective that offers a platform to counter all of the bullshyt. I also don't think black feminism is exclusively a perspective for black women. Many other races, and men have embraced it too.

Exactly, these idiots don't realize that a lot of black feminist have a problem with the mass incarceration of black men :snoop:

I'd say that's one of the biggest reasons why it's a movement now. That's nearly a million men taken out of the community, the fallout from that has created a false schism between the genders when they're both reacting to the destruction of the Black community and family at the hands of this govt.

Have to tune them out. Women like to bytch regardless :manny:

bruh, they are raising the next generation. :snoop: its not about tuning them out. they have infinitely more power shaping the next generation of boys and girls than we do.

When black men are in court I see nothing but women there supporting him, black man in jail? nothing but his momma, his girlfriend and sisters visiting, black man shot down dead(usually by another black man)? It's always the women our there praying and asking for the violence to stop. Black women have been supportive of black men for years. We owe them.

Yes you have on what women need to do to keep black community together. On what black women need to do to prevent the cycle of poverty. On women lying that have been raped. You are apathetic to black women but expect for a black community to flourish.

Hmmm ok I see. Can u give me some examples as well?

the whole "men should never hit a woman no matter what" double standard. their argument is that females are weaker but i feel like if we leave them unchecked when they hit a man (remove the consequence) then what is stopping them from being violent towards people? plus they should learn to control their emotions instead of hitting someone stronger than them. if the message is that they can't control their emotions and because of that we need to protect them, them maybe we should also take away their right to vote and have their own bank account since we're already halfway treating them like overgrown children.

another thing is the whole slut shaming thing. i feel like a lot of them want the perceived sexual liberation/freedom men have but at the same time don't want to lose the "lady-mystique" they currently enjoy. because giving that up means they lose certain privileges.

the entitlement is just their belief that i should do everything in my power to make them more comfortable, that i shouldn't look at them in the street if their p*ssy lips are showing in public because it makes them feel uncomfortable and i'm slut-shaming them, that i shouldn't have the right to strike a conversation with them in public because they consider it street harassment, that i owe them protection if they are threatened, etc. it's almost like the whole world should conspire to make them happier.
