To show you just how closed the NY market has been to the west coast and how intolerant the Big Apple can be, a few years ago['92] a west coast jock named Omar A Parker moved from the Bay to NY. Omar had established a nice rep with his 'House Of Music' show as a dj on UC Berkeley's college radio station KALX. This was where groups like NWA did there first Bay Area interviews. Anyway, Omar moved to Brooklyn and found himself spinning at a party. He decided to stretch out a bit and began to play some songs from Bay Area west coast artists.. Some kid got pissed and shot him in the back. Omar was told this is Brooklyn and to take 'that wack Cali music out west'. This incident probably had no bearing on the current bi-coastal conflict however, it again illustrates the attitude many New Yorkers have had toward West Coast hip hop. It's not something they dislike but seemingly detest.- Davey D's Corner: The Eastcoast Started This War

That incident happened in 92'.

I didn't even hear that from only Little Shawn. And plus if he Henchman guy so much why would he admit to them gettin Biggie robbed cause of him warning Pac?

Yeah it did. I peeped dude said I got that from Little Shawn but I've even heard the same story before Shawn even said it. Biggie got in trouble cause he tried warning Pac and in the end it backfired on him.

Who told you?

I've been looking into that Quad Studio drama for YEARS.....never heard that until Lil Shawn said it

I never even thought about it like that....because I do vaguely remember Pac punching Snoop for recording songs with East Coast artists....Pac was on some 50 Cent shyt forreal :mjlol: Snoop probably didn't meet Pac until 94/95ish and by 96 Pac is expecting him to be his right hand, out on the front lines in some violent rap war. Pac needed friends for real :mjlol: I think he barely had real childhood homies because he moved around from NY to Baltimore to Marin City to Oakland, so he expected these rap nikkas he didn't have a real bond with to be his boys :mjcry:

Pac didn't need Snoop, he had the whole MOB Piru backing him up.

He only lost respect for Snoop after Dogg Pound's trailer got shot up in NY & Snoop was still on some buddy buddy shyt with "the nikkaz from the other side"

He also left Pac hanging on that Saturday Night Live shyt....they had to get Ice T to fill in for him at the last minute.

Damn near the whole MOB hated Snoop and thought he was a coward

The original East West rivalry was basically harmless, and was about the music..it was about who made the best music, plain and simple. There was mutual love and respect on both sides, though there was strong competition. Listen to the vintage rappers tell it..they coexisted very well.

Pac came through and made a mountain out of an ant hill, for his own selfish reasons..he used people to go at people, and assisted in the destruction of hip hop. He used whatever fame he had to try an alienate people, tried to destroy careers, and for what?

All those rappers in the East and West he was trying to pit against each other, wanted no parts of his schemes and shenanigans..they were level headed and needed to travel to reach people with their art and make a living, and Pac was basically saying its time to go to war, meaning now a NY artist can get shot out West and vice versa, thats what Pac wanted..and for what reason..
You're absolutely retarded. Tim dogg an east cost nikka dissed the west coast first, and it wasnt harmless. In fact when tim dogg came to the wst coast they tried to kill hm and Pac held him down, this is straight from tim dogg's mouth. Does that sound harmless? Moron and Pac and Bigs beef was not west and east it was blood vs crips . nikkas have access to the internet and still make up shyt like its nothing

2 things u have to answer to me

1. we gonna need receipts on issac saying puff either knew or was involved
:feedme:

2. if you admit biggie was never involved then why u continually hate on a dead man -why would u even post this shyt

:snoop:
1. Dxter said it in his book. When I get on my computer ill show it to you (kr u can do a quick google search).
2. I dislike Piggie because of his overzealous stans that constantly act like piggie was a man-child that did nothing wrong. He almost got snoop and dpg killed for snitching, he carelessly dropped who shot ya, he foolishly disses a dead Pac and goes to La for a victory lap, he hung out with La crips (orlando and kefe D), and the list goes on. Bubu it's Pac's jelousy that got BIG killed :mjlol:

I honestly don't know the full story of what happened, but I get the impression Biggie wasn't into the bullshytting, drama and beef like Pac was. And that it was probably Pac that got both of them killed. Which is a damn shame cus Biggie was on his way to being the GOAT.
No. Biggie got himself killed. He dissed Pac in La while he was dead and associated himself with the SSCC, the rival gang of the Mob Piru. Stop re-writing history.

Not true at all. There was PLENTY of back and fourth musical and physical beef between the Eastcoast and Westcoast before Pac was even a solo act. All the incidents I listed happened between 88' and 94'. Pac wasn't even in War Mode when guys like Tim Dogg got pressed in California(Pac saved him, in Tim Doggs own words). Treach got pressed by some Crips(again, Pac saved him in Treach's own words). Ice Cube almost got chased out of the Apollo by some Harlem Goons and Rap group Mob Style. Hammer got booed in New York. People act as if the two coast were cordial, and Pac came in and killed the vibe. Not true at all. The eastcoast had a MAJOR hand in the animosity that was aimed towards them. Here's a good article written by Davey D which basically surmises how the eastcoast kicked off this war. Mind you David D is originally from the Bronx(although he moved to the Bay in his 20's). But he drops some GEMS about Eastcoast insecurity in the late-80's through mid-90's. I think this article is from 95':

Dude you are trying to hard?I never seen someone on a deads man's nuts .Making every excuse saying they don't allow friends only immediate family members to see the patient goes against the point you trying to make. Then you say they move that person room to room, which would negate your point again if he wasn´t able to see him.
You making every lame excuse is not going to change what happened. Making every far fetched possibility just shows what kind of a dikkhead you are.Like I said ,Pac had big time problems with his family, which is why he let Mopreme get busted up by Deathrow and he never knew his real father that good.
Pac said he didn't see Biggie and his NY homeboys in the hospital, end of story. Only Treach was there.

Thus proving my point. Pac didn't plant the seeds of beef. Eastcoast insecurity did. NYC had a bunch of insecure Troy Ave prototypes defending the honor of NYC hip-hop back in those days.

Let guys like Funk Flex tell it, the Eastcoast was innocent and friendly as hell, until Tupac came and bullied the industry and bullied the eastcoast, and caused division.Alotta eastcoast folks, were throwing stones and hiding their hands. And then when getting pressed about throwing said stones:

:whoa:
