1st and foremost. Mcnabb is an analyst now. He's not a player at this point. Should Marino not comment on anybody since he never won anything? What about the countless coaches who are analyst or other players that never won, should they not comment?. Next Donovan is 100% right. Romo is nowhere near worth 100 Million at this point. Had Mcnabb still been a player, I'm sure he wouldn't of commented but I'm sure he's looking at some bias B.S. going on. For those saying Mcnabb shouldn't talk cause he didn't win the ship doesn't fly. Mcnabb Eagles were DEEP into the playoffs year in and year out. Since Romo took over as a starter the Cowboys were the biggest underachievers outside of the Skins in the NFC EAST.
1 Playoff win, 3 Playoffs losses, 4 Losing seasons. Only 2 Division Titles. So A Majority of Romo's seasons as the starter, the Cowboys got nowhere. Let's not forget how many "Win and your In" games Romo lost including getting murdered 44-6 by Mcnabb's Eagles. I find it funny that people act like Mcnabb never won a Big game in his life. The man was apart of 8 Playoff berths and 9 Playoff wins in his career. Last I check, every Playoff game was a Big game. To get to 5 NFC Title Games and a Super Bowl, Donovan had to win a lot of Big Games. It seems the only Big Games are the playoff games Donovan Lost. Kelly nor Marino won the ship yet they don't get the hate from their cities or fans the way Donovan does.
People also love to bring up Washington and Minny. As people see how Shananhan has done RGIII, it's clear the man had a vindetta against Donovan who was on pace to break Redskins records had he not been benched. Minny was rebuilding. Both teams were in the Playoffs this last year. Your telling me if Donovan had more time than 1 seasons to build with those teams he wouldn't of had them in the playoffs too? His last 2 seasons with Philly were both Playoff seasons and even another NFC Title game berth. So he got a huge contract with Washington at 34, he was coming off again Multiple Playoff seasons. Romo got a contract bigger contact with 1 Playoff win that was 3 years ago. It's ridiculous and If I was a Cowboy fan I would be furious. Let's look what some QB's have done since Romo took over in 06:
Mcnabb - 2 Playoff Wins (5th NFC Title game appearance)
Rodgers - 4 Playoff Wins (Super Bowl Win)
Eli - 8 Playoff Wins (2 Super Bowl Wins)
Brees - 5 Playoff Wins (1 Super Bowl win)
Flacco - 9 Playoff Wins (1 Super Bowl Win)
Peyton - 6 Playoff Wins (1 Super Bowl Win, 1 Super Bowl Appearance)
Brady - 8 Playoff Wins (2 Super Bowl Appearances)
Big Ben - 6 Playoff Wins (1 Super Bowl Win)
Romo hasn't done better than Any of these QB's including Mcnabb as far as getting to the playoffs, going deep and playing in a Conference Title Game or Super Bowl. So the bottom line, there is no logical Reason for Romo to get that contract. Any other QB with that weak of a playoff record would be looking over his shoulder.
ROMO'S 7 SEASONS AS THE STARTER:
2006: 9-7 2nd NFC EAST (1 and done in the Playoffs)
2007: 13-3 1st NFC EAST (1 and done in the Playoffs)
2008: 9-7 3rd NFC East (Blow out 44-6 in the final game to get in the playoffs)
2009: 11-5 1st NFC East (Won his 1st and only Playoff game, got blow out in round 2)
2010: 6-10 3rd NFC East
2011: 8-8 3rd NFC East
2012: 8-8 3rd NFC East
Romo Cowboys are coming off 3 Average to Terrible seasons yet he gets a 100 Million Contract. Were some of you the same people saying Donovan didn't deserve his Washington Contract when he was coming off 2 Playoff seasons and a NFC title game? LMAO!.
