not really, you have to have a sense of humor with the things that go on there. you can't get attached even though you are around them 6 days at a time for 12/16 hours a day

First off, its not like the movies or the shows,UNLESS you make it that way.
Lets see where shall we begin
Is there rape? Yea but not as much as you think. If you get raped, either as an officer or an inmate,in most cases, you provoked that shyt. Female officers get raped cause they get too comfortable with inmates or go in there tryin prove a point. Lets be clear, inmates run prisons, they outnumber us. Yes there are some sick mfs in there and you just have to watch yourself.
Is the gang life what you think it is? NO its worse. Pen rules are way more strict and the punishments are more severe.
The homo shyt that goes on, dudes try an keep it a secret,cause you get moved to a special unit. Its too much liability to have gays with others because of hate crimes.
Do the officers be on bullshyt? Hell yea,there are 3 types of officers. You have the ones like me that just come do my 16 hrs and don't be over doing the shyt(being a bully, trying to be over detective,etc) the ones that get manipulated by prisoners and get set up,beat up, etc and the ones that just sit and hide.
