first off if you are in my unit you either a- have an assault on staff b- violent criminal history or c-trying check in

inmate in 131 black dude ex gang member, there's a kos on him (kill on sight) for whatever reason, so he tells the treatment team hes gone kill himself. now he's in the 23/1 unit and he's been tryin fool the nurses so long that they've medicated him so much due to his aggressive behavior that now he really is mental.
smh shower day,we have to hook these dudes up(put them in full restraints) and escort them to the shower. he stands in the door shaking back and forth and this is the conversation

so for a good 5/10 minutes dudes is threatening HIMSELF with rape
he's literally telling himself he's gone rape himself in the shower

so we escorting him to the shower

she tells us how he's a mental risk and to hurry an get him out
sure enough we pop the locks on the shower door and dude has his whole hand in his ass and pinned himself up against the wall

as far as the fights go, sooner or later its gone happen. even as a co. a guy bust the sprinkler head and flooded his cell soon as i came to his door he backed up away from the door and told me i had to come get him. i was working with this nigerian dude named fafanah. soon as i popped the door fafanah took off running he said he don't get paid enough to fight. so we squared up, he thought i was gone put him in cuffs like "policy states" nope i told him we squaring up. he threw a wild right and missed and it was a wrap from there. i tell my inmates i fight to go home,not to put you in restraints.policy states you can't hit an inmate with a closed fist.well, there's no cameras in the cells, so he took that l. by the time cert time responded i had him pinned on the bed holding his arm behind his back. i can't lie i was trying to break that mf just cause he wanted to act tough.

the only other fight i had was with this white boy that went from aryan nation that turned vice lord. he got mad cause we shook life (we shook down his cell aka we searched it and tore his shyt up) we found a phone, tattoo gun, tobacco, gang lit, and coke. he was getting it from the rockman(inmate workers) we got to the door of his cell and he headbutted my partner so i swept his leg and slammed him on the bed. i broke his collarbone and bruised his ribs.

truthfully inmates really only fight you when they get in trouble with other inmates. they rather fight us than other inmates. as far as young dudes dealing with old heads, if they smart they listen to them. the dudes that got life or that been in a system a long time carry themselves differently than others.

when females hit the pod, most dudes rush to their door and start beating off in the window. you get some that wait until meds or food trays are passed out and put it in the flap.i got a female lt thats ol school, she don't play that shyt. one inmate tried to get her thru the flap and she slammed it shut he screamed and passed out immediately.
lol we wrote up the report as an attempted assault on an officer and self defense.

we got another inmate that refuses to take his meds but swears up and down that we are witches and trying to kill him.
so instead of taking meds he punches himself until he knocks himself out
i walk by his cell and all you hear it

next thing you know he's fight clubbing himself

phone and visit

you can see it on their faces bruh. it makes you appreciate being able to pick up the phone and talk to a loved one. and the way they look when they have a visit i can't put it into words. they clean themselves up and everything.
