Ok...

These prices are valid but a tad bit overstated. There are still places you can go to get something decent in terms of big city standards. You can get something for like 2 beds 2k a month...you just have to be prepared to dig. The state of affairs within NYC is always interesting to talk about for people who grew up here. My beef isn't with the renting situation but more so this affordable housing joke that lists a apartment for sale at 650k but the income restrictions will be 48k per year with a 250k deposit :hhh:

Florida ain't all that. Orlando is Puerto Rico meets Disney meets bland suburbs

Tampa I've never been

SoFlorida is ok

The rest of Florida is garbage
Been to Tampa was there for two weeks some years back, much better than Orlando I fukked with it.

But hey I was only there for a week. Everybody I know that moves to Florida likes it at first then it becomes unbearable. Only so many times you can go to the beach, go to the mall, and do patio cook outs.

Truthfully I love NY but I don't know if I want to raise kids here.

Think I'll end up moving to Yonkers or New Rochelle somewhere in Westchester where I can get that suburban vibe but be close to the city.

Ima always be Uptowns son though :mjcry:

They didn't even ATTEMPT to make it look nice. They hung the sheets straight from the package, as evident from the visable rectangles, threw the white sheet on the bed, did one obvious tuck in front, as if that would make it any more presentable.

Hence why it's "a quiet place to sleep and chill" if you're just renting a room just for chilling and napping. Would you care if it's tidy as long as it's cheap as fukk in an overcrowded housing market like NY?

Looking for an apartment in Brooklyn. Do I HAVE to show the landlord my bank statements? You would think pay stubs, tax returns, W2s, background check, credit check, photo ID and social security should all be enough.

Yeah have all of that stuff cause serioysly landlords are extremely picky and they shouldnt be.

And looking back on this thread is honestly why I moved out to Denver. I got a 1 bedroom apartment in a building with an elevator for 1150 a month...i know people back in NYC paying that much for a room.

:wow:

Im not saying its unobtainable but it kind of aint even worth it anymore...
