It's undoable for me at this point.
Last time I was in Pittsburgh (yes...Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania) visiting family, after 3 days I just wanted to leave
Cacs everywhere
No diversity
Really segregated
Really backkwards
really racist
really unwelcome
Confederate flags everywhere
Nothing to do except drive around and get drunk or look around at malls or eat or smoke and drink
All the women around my age are married with kids...or they moved to cities like NYC and LA and Philly and there is slim pickings

When I got back to
NYC it made me appreciate it more for all of its pitfalls and cons.
The diversity
the more accepting attitude
The plethora of things to do
THe tons of people in my age group older and younger

And people here are friendly, I never got the New Yorkers are rude trope....I've experienced more friendliness and people going out of their way to help a breh out or just be sociable here than anywhere else. Cause people appreciate each other here despite the BS .


So even though the cost of living is cheaper there...are you even living?

Damn breh... This post kinda deep. Well to anyways. I'm from BK and I've been hating NYC almost my entire life. NYC to me would be dope if it was less crowded.

I love this job but I feel guilty that it's drastically changing the landscape of this city and this borough especially in Bushwick. It's killing the culture of the neighborhoods they inhabit seriously. I noticed this during the PR Day festivities on last Sunday.

nah they gonna leave, that's their lifecycle, move to a poor neighborhood, suck the soul out of it, it becomes too commercialized, then the bubble bursts or they leave when rents become 3,000 a month...

Like the runoff that has infested Bushwick, that came from Williamsburg, that's now infecting Bed Stuy. That's now moving it's way into Astoria Ridgewood Glendale. That's even working it's way down to Bay Ridge, but lets be honest, hipsters will not move past Broadway Junction en masse like that...it's too black and spanish for them scary cats. They'll never be in Brownsville, they'll never be in Canarsie, they'll never really be in places like Gravesend and Sheepshead Bay and near Coney Island...

And white russians, italians, poles, jews, czechs, and the eastern europeans in South Brooklyn don't fukk with them like that either. They hate hipsters and yuppies form out of town just as much as everybody else.

It's so easy to tell who's born and raised here anymore....

Not to mention the trains are inconvenient as fukk to get in and out of BRooklyn and back without having to spend extra time going into the city and back.

They stay by the :L, th eJ, the M, the A, and the C trains.
