breh you're not from the old school. You're as old as my little brother. You came into hip hop at a time when it was already pop. That chipmunk soul shyt was watered down RnB/hip hop in a new pop landscape.

I'm the oldest in my fam and my young brother rides with Drizzy, Future, etc. And that's with me being the older brother who put him on Nas, Rakim, KRS, Wu-tang, etc from EARLY. If I mention "Ghostface has a new album out", he knows exactly who I'm talking about. And he even acknowledges that older hip hop has way more soul.

He just doesn't give a fukk. Rap right now is about turning up and drinking, and that's what he wants to do. Which is whatever (fine by me) but again, let's not pretend like this shyt has any staying power.

For every type of rapper either. U sayin some of the shyt u sayin proves u don't know about music. Let alone hip hop. The BPM's itself in trap music would prevent u from making certain type of songs.
