He had mid 80's passer ratings. Some decent stats no doubt. Nothing that would be comparable to Steve Young and Joe Montana's best years though. I said it before, when you have Matt Stafford throwing for 5000 yards in a season then that should be enough to show you how difficult they've made it on the secondary in this era. :manny:

Brady led the NFL in touchdowns with 28 that year and had no dominant WRs. This isn't a good argument. In fact this is the exact argument Randy Moss made for Brady. "Peyton has his WRs, why can't Tom Brady?"

how do they compare some other hall of famer qbs of those days ?

ie, peytons first 5 seasons ? brees first 5 seasons ? they arent very different.

Steve Young career passer rating is 96.8 and he retired in 1999. There's one example of a QB who played in the era prior to Tom being drafted. :ehh:

Im talking about his peers and their first 5 years in the league. peyton and brees came in the league pretty much the same time as brady...thus they make the best comparison.
