all jokes aside. when I was coming up, I noticed one thing that all championship teams had and that was one MVP caliber player and at least one other All NBA caliber player and one All Star level player. Celts had it for years. Lakers had it. Even Barkley's Suns had it. most teams had that. One of the few teams that didnt have that was Dream first Rockets chip. but that team had some highly skilled and consistent players.

this year you have GSW who has 3 All NBAers. OKC who has not one but TWO MVP level players. Spurs who have an aged but high IQ core with All NBAer Kawhi and All Star LMA. Bron had that with the Heat...though they did sign those 3 guys and put together a rag-tag bunch of scraps that they could afford.

most of the time you need that combination. Lebron has been the exception to that rule. It should be taken in highest regard because the Warriors were one of the greatest teams in history. I think their main strength was also their weakness. They have a lot of good players and an MVP but if you take just one of them away, it could mean the difference.
Objectively this cavs team wasn't that good, Irving and lebron and pretty much a bunch of castaways the talent between the two teams was a pretty big gap for gsw. LeBron is just too good.

did this Cavs team have good players? yes. I dont think people realize that they really arent that good of a team with him though. J.R. Smith has pretty much been an inigma his entire career. Love is a good player but highly overated as a championship level player, he is a role player on a championship team. Lebron basically made Mo Williams into a name. He was never more than average otherwise. Tristan Thompson. Hell of a garbage man but he wouldnt be considered a "core" of any team. Shumpert is a good 3-D guy but he's not better than guys like Avery Bradley or even the fading Tony Allen. Its funny that the energy and smart play of the ancient Richard Jefferson got them by in some spots and he was a big contributor to their run in the Finals.

You do know that Shaq averaged 33pts 16 rebs 5asts and 3.5 blocks on 57 fg% while being guarded by Mutombo (DPOY that season)in those finals from that pic right?

Carried isn't the right word but Kobe was 100% the #2 during all of his time with shaq.

Kyrie is a 3 time all star and an all star game MVP :mjlol:. Just because he didn't make the all star game this year solely do to injury doesn't mean he isn't an all star player, you idiot.
Not to mention the fact that he will be in many more all star games.:mjlol:

Kevin Love is a 3 time all star as well

nikkas ain't got to make the all star squad every season of their career to be referred to as all stars.

:mjlol:
