Man you didn't like that Mo B dikk album??

I use to burn the shyt outta these songs...still do

They dropped some quality heat over the summer with that Fiend album but I can recall, Fiend album came out around the time Hot Boys - Guerrilla Warfare dropped, I wanna say on the same day and that was the most anticipated album that summer. I remember posters being everywhere in the city for that album to drop, and at that time CMR was rolling hard in the city and picking up steam around the country. Ppl still fukk'd with NL but that Hot Boys album to me put the nail in the coffin for NL. That Guerrilla Warfare album took over the city that summer smh. That shyt was pure heat and the track B.G. Help where he took shots at NL didn't make it no better.

Side note: What every happened to the LIl Soldiers? didn't they come out with an album.

P just lost his focus and felt he could put that music part on auto-pilot, he had Serv-on making decisions and putting together projects..not saying Serv-on was a bad dude or anything but P wasn't there to oversee the projects that were coming out.

I did feel he was trying to push his artist to create their own record labels which snoop, fiend, c, and others did.

As you stated, those albums Silk, and P put out felt rushed and the creativity wasn't there...I think they felt at that time, they could put out anything and it would sell of the strength of their names

U misunderstood, I wrote Mo B had a decent album! Twas a lil different from the usual NL formula too which was refreshing. Liked the songs with Fiend, the one with Mac, the one with Sons Of Funk, Bout It Part 3 and some of the slow jams

Yeah everyone and their momma abandoned NL bit by bit in 99 and ran over to Cash Money (who were putting out great albums), damn shame, but P made alot od wrong moves in 99 and this was the logical conclusion. Only God Can Judge Me only went gold... His 97 and 98 albums went 3x and 4x platinum

Pretty sure Priority (Bryan Turner, known from the NWA movie) forced them to churn out as many albums as possible too, and P obvsl liked those checks well enough to overlook the time issues. That's why Lil Soldiers, No Limit Allstars, Lil Italy albums came out

Lil Soldiers album did come out, had some really good beats, but what can you expect from a 7 and 9 year old rappin'? Obvsl their father Short Circuit (aka Freedom) helped pen their shyt, but it is what it is

I think P made the Forbe's List that year and in 99..

P wasn't playing lol..

Looking back, I didn't even feel that he dropped that many albums in that year.

I really want P to or someone off the tank to discuss their contract deal...how they were paid etc.

It definitely felt like he was dropping every damn week! Lol in the back of almost every source ...or whatever hip hop mag....all you saw was a damn NO LIMIT ad in that graphic pixel set up lol

Beats by the Pound and KLC must've been in the studio 24/7 back then.

And none of their beats really sounded the same.
This is whats insane to me..They were solely handling the production for those No Limit albums..The entire albums
full

I would love to hear a interview of them talking about their recording process during that time
