That year I remember looking forward to buying the Source each month just to look at their Pen and Pixel ads for the upcoming releases:blessed:

23 albums in 98. That's an album every 2 weeks.

I remember nikkas in school buying the albums just becuz they was No Limit. nikkas they never heard of or heard a song from and they was automatic first day cop. shyt was crazy.

Shyt was wild as fukk back then, No Limit had a stan legion who bought all their shyt

There were classic albums (C-Murder, Fiend, Mac, Soulja Slim), great ones (Bleed, Silkk, IGTHU OST, Mean Green) and very few disappointments (Full Blooded, Snoop, Mystikal, Mia X)

Twas the best of times brehs

All Facts. Truly a Golden Year:wow:

Silk was even on that Mya moving on video shyt that dude was on Monday Night Raw Wrestling or some shyt :russ: man them dudes had the game on lock..and let's not talk about the NL soundtracks to I got the hook up and Foolish.

What's yall take on Magic's album - Sky's The Limit (RIP)

I
Bout it was the shyt

This is whats insane to me..They were solely handling the production for those No Limit albums..The entire albums
full

I would love to hear a interview of them talking about their recording process during that time

Klc said they had a time limit...

He said thats the reason why no limit dont have a lot of unreleased stuff..once the deadline was met, whatevrr was done, thats what they rolled wit

Mystikal is the best rapper from that group. As soon as he left Master P's clutches he became a platinum selling, grammy-award winning artist.

In 2016 he got a lot of love

A lot of interviews

He narrated Solange album

The usher Thug song paying homage

Only a gay nikka would know about that. No grown ass man listens to Solange or some female pop singer.

A Seat at the Table - Wikipedia

American rapper Master P worked on the majority of the album's interludes with Solange. Solange contacted Master P and asked if he would narrate some of the album's songs; the interludes were created from conversation regarding the world's issues.

Cool...I guess. Random as hell.

I really thought D.I.G. had next.

None of the lower tiered members of no limit had next because p didnt care for artist development and to my knowledge, there was no mixtape game down south like it was in ny..
He had way too many artists that wasnt household names..
His biggest mistake imo was his biggest sucess..he sold alot of recoreds with his approach, but he didnt develop careers which led to his demise when the no limit brand got weak

You think P's strategy can be duplicated today? (but tweaked a little of course)

Mystikal himself said that was his worst album in a Source interview when his Let's Get Ready album came out

Compare Ghetto Fabulous to his first 2 albums. Major dropoff in quality
