Philly bouls, Trust the Process
mpg doesnt translate to higher production. Its easy to come in spurts and give your all in that small period of time and not have to worry about what happens when you arent there because you have other elite scorers on the team. Take the 2017 finals for example, KD could take long rests and the rest of the team would still be fine but every time Lebron took a small break, he'd come back to a bigger deficit
extra mins don't mean more points. That prob means more bricks. especially the energy you gotta use all by yourself with no help.

KD doesn't avg more than 5 asts. He not getting anyone else involved which means nobody is going to play any defense. KD is getting swept by the pacers.
The extra minutes show how LeBron's team needs him in such a larger role whereas the Warriors are comfortable and Durant doesn't need to totally exert himself. If Durant played more minutes he would average more points, that's rather simple when we're talking about players of this caliber and who shoulder large offensive loads.

I'm not saying Durant is as good as LeBron, he would lead a team as far, or anything like that. What I'm saying is that looking at the raw stat lines really doesn't tell the story here.

based on the fact that he is mentally weak. Lebron put up 45 in game 7 against the pacers. KD is not going to do that under that much pressure when he is the sole superstar.
At this point, it's sad y'all LeBron stans have to marginalize the abilities of a top-10 player OAT to not being able to beat a standard, every-year, playoff team, just to aggrandize your mans. We're not even talking about him being able to beat a great team, we're talking about the cotdamn Pacers......

Top 10 in skills, not mental fortitude. He has always played second fiddle to bigger personalities like Westbrook and Curry (even though they are not better players than him)

damn, didnt he say michael beasley was better than him when they hooped as kids...

KD doesn't have to put up numbers with the squad around him to be fair. If he was on the Cavs he'd have to put up bigger numbers and would do so

Look st the mpg gap alone

Yeah, look at the minutes per game. Good point. An exhausted LeBron is shooting better than a fresh KD and KD is only averaging 2 less shots per game. Durant isn't in LeBron's universe.

You don't know shyt about basketball, which is why you just regurgitate nonsense you see on this board.

:manny:

If you knew anything about basketball you'd realize that debating absurd discussions such as this one is not a hill to die on. You can say a lot about LeBron but in no way does Durant compare, you look like a retard debating it. :russ:

In that timeframe, KD's game mature tremendously. He was always a good to great defender. The 2012 Celtics wouldn't dare to run a zone against KD. The Spurs during that timeframe had their defense broken apart by KD. You best believe they wouldn't box up the lane like they did against the Heat. The defensive strategies would have been different but wouldn't be enough to stop a multi scoring champion.
What's failed to realize in these situations is in that time, Bron actually followed a system. You're argument would work if we were talking about now and tbh the thread title is true KD on this Cavs team can do what Bron is doing now especially since he's in his prime.
