De La Soul is the definition of acquired taste. It's like their music only appeals to some when it comes to their entire albums. My dad gave me 3 feet High too but the second spin it broke They have some songs but I dont like them as much.

i seen tribe and de la at rock the bells 2008 and both they live shows were at tha top. this show was including rakim nas, meth and red, pharcyde, jay electronicea and some others. i met plug 2 in tha crowd too. told em that stakes is high is one of my fav albums and that its underrated. they have always been my two fav groups

man, I was only 15 back then. I didn't have a job yet. so I couldn't cop all that piff. I remember copping doggystyle, my sister copped MM, and my boy copped the 36 chambers, and we eached made dub tapes from the other so we could have all three albums.
