These 90's shows n shyt coming back on TV is a recent trend in the mainstream I agree, but 90's rap was seen as the gold standard all throughout the 2000's. This isn't anything new, stop lying to yourself.

i'm not talking about them holding the 90's as the gold standard, i'm talking about shamelessly dikkriding the 90's.

Joey Badass,Asap Rocky,Flatbush Zombies,Tyler The Creator,Earl Sweatshirt...all products of that.

Even dudes like Action Bronson are tip too.

hipster kids love that shyt to the fullest these days.

Underrated thread, there was a lot of wack shyt coming out in the 90s and i'm not talking Nastradamus wack but really wack.

People choose to neglect that and only act like classics dropped in the 90s.

The difference is probably that those dudes were forgot about quick as fukk and the effect of the amount of classics coming out compensated for the wackness.

The bolded is key. Whereas now, the wackness is celebrated and touted as classic, in many cases.

Was Brain Austin Green really wack tho? Everybody trashed the album because of his skin color, but if anyone bothered to listen to it sht bumped. It was basically a pharcyde ep. They produced it, and probably wrote all the lyrics. Im not mad at keeping a white interloper out of the game, but nobody can convince me this isnt quality:

All you doing now is trying to spin people's likes into a negative. Maybe the boy Joey likes that 90's sound and wants to spit over it :wtf:

Action Bronson doesn't spit over all 90's sounding shyt. Dude just did a tape with alchemist and bird on a wire one of his most popular songs don't sound shyt like 90's music.

Again :wtf: at all these arguments

Like New York the westcoast has its classics and it has its trash. But NYC has more classics then any other state/region/coast, most hip hop fans would agree
