This is a NYC-centric discussion for all my NYC heads.

It seems like for the past couple years BROOKLYN has been the center of sending out NYC's stars.

and the only breeding ground for a good chunk of this decade NYC's heavy hitters...

why is that? what the hell happened to Queens, Staten Island, Bronx and Harlem? After BK it's really just Bronx and Harlem, which isn't much at all. Queens is silent as fukk. Do rappers in Staten Island even exist? Has Staten Island ever gotton a shoutout after 90's wu tang?

Brooklyn is a factory compared to the other boroughs. Every other NYC artist geting a come-up is from Brooklyn. All of NYC's hits that actually hit other states and run the charts for the enitre country are from BROOKLYN.

Let's run it down.

The other 3 new class rappers putting NYC on the map are A-Boogie (Bronx), Cardi B (Bronx), and Dave East (Harlem).

I actually like that the Bronx still plays a contributing role of exporting it's rappers to hip-hop given that's where NYC was birthed.
