Let's talk about Roid Hibbert verticallity rule created just for him.

It's weird cause Hibbert gets the benefit of doubt in these calls which is crazy, considering everyone says the NBA protects wing players.

A lot of times he does go vertical, but then his arms are horizontal and there is contact with the offensive player and it'll be a no call.

i can swear i've heard JVG straight up say that defenders will have better chances at getting the benefit of doubt/no calls if they make a concerted effort to jump straight up rather than into a player.
