I'm not "bashing" us but i notice that whenever somebody starts talking about not getting too comfortable in low positions etc a bunch of dudes start talking about how nikkas should be "grateful" for whatever we get from the white man. A lot of dudes are grateful for crumbs, and cling to those crumbs until they reach old age. I think a lot of it is fear to try something different. "What if i fail" what if you don't?
Somebody mentioned black men not working together enough, and i have to agree. Black boys and men shouldn't have to rely on cacs and other non black men for employment and resources. Black men should work together more to do things for black people. Dudes are quick to say that one black man can't do something, ok so why not link up with other black men and try. 5 black men putting resources together is better than 1 guy out there trying to do it all by himself. I did it on my own, but it wasn't by choice.
Brehs talk that "pro black" shyt but honestly you don't see a lot of black men teaming up to build together, especially in our own communities. The men who open up stores together and employ each other are mostly non-black. The black men living there don't fukk with each other like that outside of partying and shyt. Not on a business tip. You can say they do but you can look around and see that's not the case.
We love to see black men beef with each other all the time, but then complain about men of other races making moves together, putting each other on, like they're somehow WRONG for building with and helping the people who look like them. "Arabs are buying up everything" "It ain't fair how them Mexicans are opening businesses" etc
I'm not looking down on anybody, because i've worked some undesirable jobs before, where the upper manangement was mostly white, black men of all ages working in the lower positions and getting paid less, and i did it because at the time i didn't really have any other option, i was a young black man but there weren't any black men around with any businesses or strong connections who could give me a job, that's the same case for a lot of other black men. What some of us are saying is, we need to ensure that our sons won't have to do the same thing, working for cacs because they don't have any other choice.
One reason cacs don't take the complaining serious is because after complaining about them, we go right back to work for them anyway. If you were them would you take that seriously? If you owned something and the people who worked for you complained about how much they hate you off the clock, but then come right back and work for you forever, making you and your family and friends wealthier, would you take them seriously?
