Stephen A wild for that speculation because that NIL shyt hasn't been reported by anyone reputable. too many cbb folks that got their foot on the ground at ESPN for SAS to be "reporting" that on First Take. A school like Kansas not gonna be short on NIL bread and the rest of the roster not even that crazy to where they wouldn't be able to afford him.

The dialogue around the kid has jumped the shark and is just people tryna get pot shots off. Makes me root for the kid even more if I’m being honest. nikkas can’t even name our 6th man but got opinions on the team.

I hope the Clippers end up with the 5th pick.

I also think anyone taking him before pick five is making a big mistake.

I disagree. Once he gets over these issues people will be kicking themselves. When he plays there's worlds difference. I'd do my due dilligence but all the pros speak highly of him. I'm personally picking him for the wizards with due dilligence on everything which i'll trust they'll do.

My guy is destined for greatness after all the shytty ass posters in here are forming like a flabby ass Voltron hating on him.

Y’all lames will be trying to come back around and be a fan of his once he puts these health issues in his rear view and hits the league. Y’all can just stay on that side. Don’t come back around.

TheColi, once again, embarrassing themselves trying to bury this young man.

Get him far away from Lawrence and this garbage ass program. If I see you, it's on sight @Flight.

Iirc this wasn't public knowledge so no one should be embarrassed about anything

If anything this taught him that keeping shyt a secret can work against you, nobody cares about an "i told you so" if you were literally not telling the press about the issue or how early it started:manny: terrible PR management cuz ultimately it had people talking sideways about him for months when it could've been solved with a basic " severe cramps due to hydration" and everyone would've known what it was all season.

You might hide information about some shyt being sore during the playoffs, but this was happening back as far as September, should've just been honest cuz it really was just extreme dehydration, easy for any sports organization with a brain to understand.

full body cramps are no joke and can be life threatening, idk wtf kind of bullshyt health plan he was on in HS where no one ever told him to drink enough water before and after all those drills :gucci: but once your body tweaks out from dehydration one time it starts happening more often in general, kinda like when a fighter gets KO'd the first time.

That cramp shyt happened to me when i first moved to the desert and again two more times within the span of like 3 months. Even alcohol can jumpstart that shyt once your body gets used to responding like that.

:gucci: whoever ran that camp needs to be sat down and taught basic training safety measures. Could've shown that nikka a few videos about dehydration so he wouldn't be so scared.

Why would you even allow a kid you're paying a ton of money to have "trauma" about anything and not send him to a school therapist or something? Athletic departments be dumb as fukk sometimes when it comes to mental stuff.

That goof ball @Gil Scott-Heroin trying to take a victory lap about an athlete being so fragile he supposedly couldn’t make it through entire calisthenic workout without his body locking up, as if that’s the reason he hasn’t been able to play full games :mjlol:

The workout happened back in September. If a 20 year old can’t recover fully from a workout 7 months ago, how is his body supposed to hold up over 82 games?

No one else on the team had to go to the hospital. This kid has been missing games since high school, whose fault is that?

The narrative went from college basketball is too easy so he’s taking himself out of games to protect his stock (when he was making shots) to “Kansas made me a do workout that was too hard back in September so that’s why I’m playing bad now” :francis:

This is his agent and team playing media games after a bad stretch of basketball. If this workout was the issue, they would’ve leaked it last month when everyone was wondering why he’s pulling himself out of games.

He shouldn’t play another game for Bill Self after what I saw last night. The offense is legit harmful to a kid as gifted as Darryn.

I don’t disagree cramping can be an issue and I’ve been around athletes who it impacted long term. However, hundreds of players have completed that same boot camp session and didn’t end up with this issue. :francis:

It ain’t the workout, it’s the player and his body. Placing blame on the program and a workout is straight up agent spin.
