I've heard bad things about BMWs and Benzes,

Yeah, like how Hitler had a custom made Benz. I'm suprised a super militant as yourself actually considered a Benz within the mix due to its Nazi history. nikkaz dont give a shyt but I'm suprised a Benz would even be in your vocabulary Mr Militant.

how doesn't it mix when he's making a smart choice as far luxury and reliability. there's nothing wrong with not wanting to buy a brand new car no matter how much money you have. lexus have the lowest maintenance costs among luxury and non luxury cars. lmao at spending the purchase price on repairs. not gonna happen by any stretch of the imagination with lexus. all i see in the future is regular maintenance as with any car. there will be no catastrophic engine or transmission or suspension failures.
Buying a car with 90k miles on it should not be characterized as smart. It really doesn’t matter what kind of car you’re talking about. If OP is trying to get an additional 100k out of it, he’s going to have to put some bread up. Just standard maintenance at the 100k mark is going to be above $1000 alone, never mind the additional 90k OP is intending on adding to it. I understand Lexus engines to be bulletproof, I don’t know about the suspension though. All in all it’s just a lot of money spent on a car that won’t even have modern day creature comforts, and will be fast approaching a very important service interval.

Lol exactly.

He’d be better off buying a 1999 lexus and having 5-6k in the bank for repairs or to buy another one if needed. Or put 5 of the 10k down on a Certified Pre owned whip

I'm new to this, being out of the car game for over a decade. But from my research, people aren't spending much bread on maintaining Lexus models even after they've exceeded 100K. And what creature comforts are missing from these 2009 models? They have blueooth, heated seats, satellite/gps, etc.
