I'm waiting to see what Google is doing with their next phone, but the camera on this looks to be amazing. The only drawback is I enjoy stock Android, coming from the Nexus 6P... not really looking forward to going back to skinned Android. And this is a phone I'd be hesitant to root and throw Stock on it because the camera software for it alone makes me want the phone.
Hopefully the rumors that the next Pixel is a variant of this device is true.

The camera should be great for it then. The V30's tap to zoom while recording is a feature that I really like. But you have to have a dual back cam setup to do it, I believe. And I don't think the next Pixel is going with that, hopefully I'm wrong, cause I really just want the next Pixel phone to be the V30 with stock Android

This phone will have dual cameras and a headphone jack, something the Pixel 2 wont have.
I don't care about the headphone jack, I've been using a bluetooth set up for years now...
