This documentary is a shining example of the post slavery mental disorder black americans suffer due to the experience of extreme white supremacy. In most cultures it is considered taboo to marry outside your group. In black america is seems the opposite is true.

Honestly from the way things are going,I see the dismissal of issues that Black Women face as more detrimental for Black Men than Black Women.I feel as time goes on more & more Black Women are going to start demanding their respect & if they don't receive it,I feel like the support they have for Black Men is going to shrink over time.& When that happens Black Men are screwed.

Because you know there isn't going to be an abundance of White & "other," women out here putting in work & marching for Trayvons & Erics across the nation.The game is going to change.

Down playing is stupid, its feigning ignorance like yall dont know that lighter skin people are put on a pedestal and receive better treatment than darker skin people. Or yall wanna act its a issue that should be ignored. Colorism should not be ignored. Its a big a issue as anything else in the black community.


Maybe some of yall down playing it are just light brights that don't wanna admit your better treatment in that community, like yall are too comfortable.

The colorism convo can't even be had on the coli because it affects women more than men and we all know that goes.

SIDENOTE: There were a lot of brown girls passing as light girls, what's the deal with that?

And they'd probably get salty if you said they weren't light skin.
I never had issues with dark skinned girls, maybe its a Miami thing but we were all cool, none of the light skinned girls had issues with dark skinned girls. In fact there were many light skin + dark skin best friend combos in all of my schools from elementary to high school. 9/10 times the only issues girls had with each other revolved around boys and gossip.
