Wayne was not a mega star until like 2007. Nobody looked at Wayne like that.

Juvenile was the go to feature from the Hot Boys. You could say the same for B.G.
Y’all looking at a small snapshot though.

Who cares about their buzz in 1999-2001. Wayne outlasted them all and grew to become better than all them nikkas :manny:

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Juve and Wanye were the Mega stars, B.G was the hood star and turk was turk.
Anyone that listen to the hotboys would tell you this, everyone knew wayne was going to be a problem. The fact that he couldn't curse and was out rapping rappers at a young age and it's wasn't cheesy or corny you knew he was something special.
Baby and Mannie and juve saw it too, that's why when singles would drop on anyone of their albums someone would get replaced for a wayne verse :manny:
This is a lie. Juve and B.G were the stars of the Hot Boys. Wayne became popular. Bling Bling was a BG song and Wayne wasn't even on the album version of that shyt. Turk was. Anyone who acts like Wayne was the star of Hot Boys are either too young to remember or straight up cap.

Of course I know this

When I say Missy Elliot I mean just makes fun music but no one takes them seriously as a top rapper.

They have creative videos and funny lyrics but they ain’t taken serious when it comes to being mentioned with the greats.

Missy singles actually aged better than Ludas 😅

Sure

He may have said that on some flower giving shyt but clearly his favorite rappers was/is Jay-Z.

He's said it on multiple occasions. It's his words regardless of how you feel about it. How are you going to say Jay was his favorite rapper, when he clearly said his favorite rapper is Missy Elliott on multiple occasions. He could've said "Missy is a legend" or something to that effect if he wanted to give her flowers, but he said "my favorite rapper is Missy Elliott".

Nah he was a literal Jay stan at one point. nikka wanted to mimic everything he did after Jay Z and literally said he stopped writing his bars on paper since he found out his favorite rapper Jay Z didn't.

That's BS. They knew Wayne was a star too and were pushing him as hard as Juve and B.G

On CMR's first Universal release How U Luv That Wayne is all over that album. He's on 10/11 songs which is more than half the album

Juvenile said he knew he had to get Wayne on Back That Azz Up in some fashion

Wayne doesn't have a verse on the album version of Bling Bling but he's the reason for the hook. There's no Bling Bling without him

:heh: sorry, breh. He sorta right.

BG and Juvie's sales prolly got them the Universal deal

but post that, the stars were Juvie and the big tymers.

Wayne first got big on any level cause nationwide folks were wondering why Juvie was being shunned for Wayne by Birdman.

Wayne legit was on one of those BET video shows saying (with Juvie sitting there) "He mad cause he in a Benz and I'm in a Bentley :troll:" on some DJ Quik/MC Eiht shyt (I really wanna say 106 and Park, with cash money sitting there but I cant find it.)

Wayne was always the "potential" star before then.

He didn't blow up til the USA saw his phenomenal jump from "wobbidy wobbidy" to "Go DJ". To the point where "wobbidy wobbidy" was a minor meme.

but before that, Wayne was being feeatured heavy on releases.

cause "potential"
