Seeing star quality in someone doesn't mean they are a star. Wayne was not a star until the mid '00's. That's a fact. A Wayne album wasn't an event.

Jay Z had star quality, but he wasn't actually a star until the late 90's though he was out here since the late 80's.

This is a lie. Juve and B.G were the stars of the Hot Boys. Wayne became popular. Bling Bling was a BG song and Wayne wasn't even on the album version of that shyt. Turk was. Anyone who acts like Wayne was the star of Hot Boys are either too young to remember or straight up cap.

Wayne quickly took B.G's shine once the hot boys formed. Not locally like talking about but it was still a big shift, the more stuff wayne was one the more people wanted to hear from him. B.G had street creds and was authentic, him and Juve was way more popular locally and regionally than wayne initially but that was changing pretty quickly.

Like I was saying wayne was taking spots on singles and being added to songs as you pointed out.

B.G. is the reason CMR got their deal. B.G. had mire features when the Hot Boys took off in 1998.

nikka I don't care what "they" say I was around I saw them perform in their PRIME my boy. This is where revision comes in. People who old enough and was around know what the real deal was. The stars was Juvy and BG. Yeah I remember being Crazy hype for 500 degrees. I remember getting to the mall playing the lil sampler at Sam goody's and being completely disappointed in every track.


I legit just act like that album never happen still

This man knows his history and his shyt. Nothing but facts. Wayne was the verse everyone was waiting for back then. He'd get on a verse on Juvy or B.G. shyt and would murder that shyt. Hide Out Or Ride Out and Cutlass, Monte Carlos, and Regals are two of my favorite Wayne verses. People really don't understand how many verses of his turned into choruses for other CMR tracks.
