Just because you didn't hear anyone bumping those albums or you personally didn't see or feel the hype means absolutely nothing considering millions of people exist besides you and you likely don't even connect with the smallest fraction of a fraction of the millions upon millions. It's like going to sleep and think the rest of the world stopped when you closed your eyes.
Carter IV was anticipated. Did it have the hype of C3, no, but it was a highly anticipated album with huge singles and sold off the momentum of Wayne being newly free from jail and the fact that it was another installment of The Carter. That's not even mentioning the speculated disses and everything surrounding that album.
MCHG had a big commercial during the NBA Finals. It was the first Jay Z album in nearly four years and yes that album had songs that people were actually bumping. Once again, The Booth is put of touch and assumes the world collectively feels the same way. The Booth hated MCHG before they heard one song.
