To be fair I’m 29 and Wayne was never all that to be either. In his prime was cool and dropped better than content. however, that “the best rapper alive” shyt he was on turned off a lot of people in the late 2000s
Lol what?

I'm a year older than you and Wayne's run started around 8th grade/ freshman year of being the most talked about rapper for the remainder of my school years

Im talking about his skill, not his popularity. And if your a year older than me than you must of been born in 87, which means you were a freshmen in 2001. Where did you lived that Wayne was the most talked about rapper in 2001? He was somewhat popular but his “run” truly took off in the mid 2000s.

I’m the same age and Wayne wasn’t popping until our sophomore year (carter 1) summer 03 is when he started to gain steam again. carter 2 was our senior year.

There's no way u 30 and Wayne's run was in ur 8th grade year unless u got left back a bunch of times. Wayne had 2 bouts of popularity. His initial Cash Money/Hot Boyz run but both Juvie and B.G were more popular at that point. And he started bubbling up in about 04 and the Carter 1. But he ain't start getting really popular again until Carter 2. 06-07 is when Wayne really gained his popularity. 08-09 is basically when it peaked.

Mixtape Wayne was 02 with sqad up.
03 ended sqad up and started the drought series.
04 was drought 2, prefix and tha Carter

That mixtape run, at least where I'm from, was what made Wayne a legend. The Carter was the icing on the cake and what started his mainstream success

Wayne in my area took off at Carter 1 up until Carter 3 for the hood.

But overall 2004 to 2012 ish after Carter 4 was done.

He is just a few hot songs from being back in everyone's top 5. Let's hope this settlement allows him to make quality music again.

Facts...and in the streaming era...sales don't even matter like they used to.

As long as he drops quality music he will be fine.

nah breh...you obviously fail to realize how fickle this generation of kids is..

WAYNE IS DINASOUR JURASSIC PARK status to these kids....

hell they ain't even fukking with his "imitator" anymore YOUNG THUG

and his fanbase is grown up now and ain't waiting on his return

i ain't hating...im glad this settlement buyout allows him a sense of liberation

but this "beef" he has had to endure with Universal and Birdman was very costly in terms of TIME LOST and FANBASE ERODING

keep in mind....Wayne has been trying to get the CARTER 5 released since 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's almost a 5 year delay................ITS A WRAP....you can't go 5 years without being a relevant presence in this game and expect to come back to thier same prime status like it ain't nothing...

NAME ONE RAP ARTIST WHOSE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT??????
