Joey Badass will impress me here or there with a good song but almost never with dope lines that stick out. The problem with all these 90s throwback dudes is that they just don't "get" that Nas/Hov/Jada/DMX/etc weren't just rappity rap dudes spitting over dusty beats: they were premier level rappers who had lines and lines for days. I can quote a Nas or Hov lyric at least once a day, just about daily shyt going on. My homies can too.
Even Pro Era stans can't show me some amazing Joey lines or verses lol.
