LB's legacy is one of the main reasons that I'm really pulling for Rapsody and support all of her projects. I would hate it if such a talented crop of artists never really get the shine they deserve.

that's probably the worst feeling for an artist.
Me too. She's a great person too man. I was really pulling for Jamla pretty hard in 2010 and 2011, but then in 2012 when they finally started dropping projects on iTunes instead of their FreEPs it just seems like not as many people checked for it. If you look at the "FrEPs" that are honestly free LPs because most are at least an hour and some are even 75-80 mins---there's some amazing hip-hop that was dropped over the last few years. In 2011 they were dropping a free project basically every month trying to generate that buzz and that following.
Rapsody probably has the biggest buzz, especially with Skyzoo off the label now, but there's so many dope artists. I feel like Big Remo could be successful. Away Team has a lane that they fit great into, but it didn't seem like Duck Down pushed the album. Act Proof is a really dope duo that I think has a lane. HaLo and GQ both have a unique sound. The Soul Council is all really talented.
It just seems like they've had a lot less releases since Sleepwalkers, Black Boy Radio, Boogie Nights, and The Idea of Beautiful dropped. I'll keep supporting whatever they put out, and I'm glad my boy Sean Boog is running the shop.
it was 99% the production. 9th was really inspiring to anybody trying to make beats around that time
I disagree. Phonte is one of the most underrated artists of the last decade and Pooh was a great spitter that stole the show on quite a few tracks. A lot of LB's music post 9th Wonder was just as good as some of their music with 9th. Khrysis and Illmind both did production for that is among LB's best material. Same goes for Nottz, Mr. Porter, Nicolay...
