*sheds tear*

The first time I ever hear Little Brother was my driver's license teacher had me on a ride and was like "I don't listen to that regular stuff :yes:" and he was bumpin' The Minstrel Show--he was bumpin' Jeezy (no hate), though on the next session.

After that; I forget how I got there, but this;

made me an official fan. Downloaded it off Myspace.

Sidebar: I remember Phonte "MY HERO AINT TOUCH NO DAMN KIDS" rant :laugh:

@White Mike dude (I'm not sure how down you were), them dudes are legends and I'm good living through Foreign Exchange and Phonte's solo stuff--sorry, I can't get into too much of Pooh's solo work--Sleepers was surprisingly dope (copped it in '10).

one of my faves......was radio friendly and everything .... but if you are lyricallyl adept and from the South and ain't talking about materialism, cracking another black man's dome piece, creating another crazy dance, or out right debauchery .... get's no play in 2007 ... :beli:

I heard little brother on the radio once, and i was in north carolina of course

I was there. My wife (gf at the time) still talks about how that was one of the most fun concerts we've been to. When Elzhi came out for Hiding Place it was a wrap. I remember Phonte laughed asking how everybody already knew the words when the album wasn't coming out for another week. nikka already knew the deal.
Not really. They were a trio until they were a duo. For Getback, And Justus For All, and Leftback, they were a duo. in 2007 Little Brother became a duo when 9th left the group on mutual terms.

Honestly the only album that 9th Wonder was heavily involved in was The Listening. Yes, he produced all of The Minstrel Show but Khrysis recorded/engineered the album, and 9th was there for maybe a few sessions. That's public record, I'm not really spilling any beans by saying that. All the parties involved would say the same thing, as they have already. If you watch The Wonder Year documentary, 9th Wonder talks about how The Listening was the album that the three of them really made together.

9th also never toured that much with Little Brother. Again, after the first tour with Hieroglyphics DJ Flash was inducted to the Justus League and became LB's DJ.
Had to dap you up +rep for hooking me up way back in the :hamster: days. You probably don't remember, but you basically hooked me up with about 2 cd's of Justus League shyt I hadn't heard yet back then. After the shyt you sent me, nobody couldn't tell me that that nikka J Gunn ain't have next. The sad thing is I have no idea where any of those tracks are now. But good looks from way back.

LB & Justus League :blessed:

I remember the first time hearing the beat from Morning kick in on the The Listening, it literally felt like a breath of fresh air :wow:

LB as a group are my favourite group of all time and Phonte is one of my favourite rappers of all time but I have to co-sign with everybody saying Pooh was criminally slept on. His verse on Hiding Place is arguably the most standout verse (besides Elzhi's) on the entire album.

If it wasn't for LB, I would have never been introduced to Median and IMO, he's one of the best rappers I've ever heard. Path to Relief, Median's Relief (classic) and The Sender are quality albums.
