I don't know if anybody mentioned this but imo living beneath your means is when you can comfortably cop a bentley (other big time material items) and you cop a used maxima (or equivalent material item) type flow. I don't really think of living beneath your means being when dudes don't really have the money to spend anyway and their just not buying the luxuries they would if they had it. I guess it could be considered doing so I just don't look at it like that. I don't many people like that that have big money and are living beneath their means. Those types are usually spending their money except for one of my dads friends that mofo is just cheap though. I know alot of 9 to 5 types that don't buy luxury stuff and think just off that they are living beneath their means though.
The focus should be living below or within your means at any income level. Doesn't matter how much you make if you are spending more than you are bringing in you are losing.
There are people making well over 100k with credit card debt to the ceiling and expensive cars and houses living paycheck to paycheck. Humans have a tendency to spend more as they make more. Ideally I would like to try and keep my lifestyle the same as my income increases at least up until a certain point.
What's the end game though?
I work hard so if I can afford some shyt I'm going to buy it.
I have plenty of money saved and I constantly save but, I'm not going not buy shyt I want because I want to save for no end in sight.
If you got it, be responsible and enjoy it while your young. Don't wait till 60 with a bad back and
This is one if the reasons I increased my education and don't want kids. I like to enjoy my self (travel and party) and that takes money.
I like shoes.
My advice would be, understand your vices and don't become a person that has to have cause others do.
Everybody blows money on some shyt

Youre right that you shouldnt wait till youre 60 to enjoy yourself, but you also shouldn't blow money so much that you have to work till youre dead. Nobody in here advocates for living like a hermit or w/e till you turn 60, but recklessness and financial stupidity is like the norm in American culture.
On some real shyt, this thread is nothing but a low key brag thread about how you save money and youren't into shyt other people are into.
Who to say these people that y'all are castigating aren't enjoying life as much as y'all?
I'm fat, lazy, and a terrible person breh
I genuinely look at women as objects, don't respect them, and harbor a lot of hate for them. I'm not in it for love or a relationship. fukking bytches from Backpage is as convenient and blase as ordering a pizza and I like it that way.
Men have to change their entire lifestyle when they start chasing women the conventional way. I'm not willing to devote such a large portion of my day to the pursuit of women.![]()

See this still doesn't mean that they are not saving money and are not enjoying themselves
The money is going to be spent.
