many peeps wouldnt put a lot of classics in their top 2, fact is LL has a built in bias even though nigggas like Drake is accepted and he waaay softer.

Mamma said was hailed a classic on the day it dropped. to say its not an all time album is foolish

no way, I wasted way too many batteries fast-fowarding through Milky Cereal, Jingling Baby, and 6 Minutes Of Pleasure

Edutainment got played straight through

"I gotta 100 gun 200 clips, going to New York, New York..."

:dj2:

real talk, KRS kept me interested. LL was just full of himself, crooning females and shyt. LL had some good songs on Mama Said, but personally I would pick the KRS album every time :manny:

Milky Cereal is wack now and Jingling baby remix is wack too? :snoop:

Yeah KRS top ten but lyrically he was on some elementary shiiit especially with the disses. Bridge is over is mediocre lyrically, its everything else that makes it great, hes the only top dude from that era that isnt great lyrically. Hes almost like the Tupac of his generation

LL underated as hell lyrically I see, go listen to WWAP and MSKYO dude had lyrics

exactly. i think people get so caught up in krs beating his chest about how hip-hop he is, that they automatically run with the idea of him being an elite lyricist.

i guess we didnt get the memo?:leon:

krs cant spit anything like this:

I didn't say 50 was in the convo with the other 3. It's a valid analogy because someone saying LL is better than :krs: is basically saying a braggadocious macho ladies man swag rapper is a better emcee than a thought-provoking lyricist. Same thing holds for saying 50 is better than Andre.

so youre basically saying that krs is better simply because you like what he raps about more than cool j.

again, this is why its worthless to make such a thread on the internet.

and since when is andre on LL & KRS level??

yea, dudes is in here trippin.

and somebody just tried to say that "mama said" aint a classic album.

it's not the only reason, but it's definitely a contributing factor. content matters

thats all personal preference & favoritism.

at the end of the day, nobodies content is better than anybody else's.:rudy:
