My favorite Banks release is still V5 after all these years, but I already like this COTI2 album better than some of his previous ones. I definitely still want him to link up with more livelier producers, which includes Harry Fraud as well. I need a rest from Cartune and especially Jerm and Doe Pesci lmao
This grew on me a lot to the point I prefer it over the first one now, but those first few weak tracks are a poor way to start of the album of, it gets better as it goes on tho

As others have said tho he really needs to expand a little bit on production, if you listen to both of these albums back to back there is a lot of very Repetitive sounding production
The interesting thing to me is Banks does what I wish so many more artists would do, which is link with like 3 or 4 producers and have them handle the bulk of their catalogue, for multiple consecutive releases. It's a great idea, and it's becoming more fashionable now. And he's been doing it for a long time, before it was cool.

I just wish he'd expand it to a slightly different circle now. And I think Doe Pesci and Jerm are actually underrated producers. But he's been using them for so long that I'd really love to hear him with a few fresh names.

I love this project though.

So far I got it like

100% pure piff:

Socialize
Impact
Don’t Switch Up
Living Proof
No Reward
Fell in Love
On my way
Menace

Dope but sometimes skippable:
Murda Won
Dead Roses
Traffic
Value of a Check

Not for me:
Power Steering

You wild powering steering, dead roses and value of a check go hard as fukk.

Dead Roses is my favorite track off here and I’m glad he made a video for that. It’s such a real song. Power Steering is nice too and it’s one of the few tracks that strays from the central sound on here.

I played Power Steering like 10 straight times when i first heard it.

That beat got me doing the Yayo. And of Course Kiss killed that shyt.

All three have beats I don’t fukk with that much. Dead Roses is insane lyrically but that kind of content deserves a way better beat imo. Those tracks are still cool though, just not my favorites like the other ones I listed.

It’s crazy how subjective music is tho because I see people digging the Power Steering beat but that shyt is trash to me. Worst beat on the album by far

Sony Music Hall was dope AF Friday night...Yayo, East Vado...

Banks doing freestyles from 2000-2002 and holding the mic to the crowd and we reciting it word for word...

Banks gonna stand on that versus stage and hold the mic to the crowd for all his 20 year old freestyles and crowd gone win it for him...

Power Steering:

Can my dog go to Heaven? At least consider him
I know he's 10 slots under a decent citizen :mjlol:
It's a punk's prime. Real ones keep diminishing
Poverty hits hard, knock off your equilibrium :deadrose:
I ain't going nowhere long as I keep delivering
They know I'm back out. Harder to keep from trembling
