As a banks Stan I’m fukking happy but the production isn’t doing it all the way for me

And I know he’s been using these producers since at least cc2 but those beats were good. The COTI projects only have a few good beats while the rest banks is rapping to save the beat rather than them complimenting each other

Really enjoying all of these recent Banks interviews, he sounds really at peace with his life and focused.

I'd be interested to know if he will ever look at getting his old projects on Spotify, the AON and Cold Corner series especially.
That should be the next order of business. Getting his Spotify discography to match what he really has out there cause everyone streams now. I saw a couple clips of interviews in this thread but are there any other full ones besides gq and jbp

He's working on 5 other projects so more music might be dropping

Banks says he’s working on five projects at the moment, which he’s putting together during recording sessions where he decides which songs will go on which project. He wouldn’t reveal what will differentiate those five projects musically or thematically, but he says he’s crafting sequels to his existing catalog.

“I don’t want to say too much, because then I’ll be giving away what I’m actually working on,” he contends. “But I put in a lot of work over the years, so my core fans understand what I’m talking about. Everything I’m doing now is a part two, three, four, five. And that’s what I was trying to recreate with The Course of the Inevitable. But this is part two. So who knows? Maybe next year this time it’d be a part three. Halloween Havoc, it could be part four. All Or Nothing, it’d be part three. Cold Corner would be part three. People forget the work you put in, but all you’ve got to do is look at the discography. Whether you caught it or not, go back and listen to it now and get up to speed.”

I cant agree with you on this. He’s the one that picks the beats. Every tape has beats you might like more than others. These are Lloyd Banks type beats and he tears them apart. I can pick from every series he’s done and pick out beats I don’t really like. It just goes with the game

Nah man being a fan doesn’t mean you have to blindly love anything just because of the name attached to it.

Murder one for instance deserves a better beat imo. That track should be an absolute classic. Has two beautifully written verses and is dragged down by that beat.

No. I listen to Banks for his lyrics and wordplay. Not beats.

A vast majority of Banks’ catalog post Return of the PLK have had that grimey, gritty and gloomy sound, yet you guys act surprised he keeps using the same sound hes been using for years.

It’s like Banks has to name every record “cold corner:” for you guys not to complain about the sound he’s going for.
