What kind of audio set up you got in the whip. Cuz fell in love, value of a check, power steering go crazyHe did it again

It starts
A few songs in you realize every beat is some synth pads and weak/clunky mixed drums.
I’m sure he still got some punches, but sonically wow this is boring. It makes the whole album sound like 1 song.
Really disappointing
EDIT: and this coming from a big Lloyd Banks fan from the mixtapes, G-Unit albums, first independent stuff. Beats matter in Hip-Hop. Maybe they blast in the studio surrounded by yes men, but bumping this in the car, it’s a no.

Kudos to Hovain for gettin Banks a mini promo run but I feel like they picked the wrong places aside from Budden
Nobody going to GQ’s site is checking for Banks.. a nicca who don’t even post himself on IG to show what he drip he got on
Banks did a Shade 45 interview but he should’ve did Whoo Kid’s show
Hovain got relationships with Nore and C Tha God yet Banks didn’t do drink champs or breakfast club. The tweet where nore called Hovain cheap for not havin banks do drink champs must be in reference to them picking the other outlets
At the least, he should’ve did a LA Leakers or flex freestyle and have a standout clip circulate the hip hop blog IGs (2 cool to blog, Elliott Wilson, etc), Whoo Kid, breakfast club and drink champs. Could’ve hit Gillie too.

He’s following the 5 and better series plan, if you listened to his gray rizzy interview,
IMO this is all leading to HFM3 if you ask me.
But in this day in age you sell records off attention since views = streams/sales so he better go hard with the videos if he’s not gonna clout chase.
He should be dropping videos of the COTIs every month leading to HH4 this fall and a mainstream single.

To keep it a Buck, Idk what to consider a warm up project or album anymore.. 1 min they say it’s a warm up and the next they’re trying to get into the album of the year discussion. I feel like if you want AOTY that means you’re not gonna drop anything else no time soon
If there’s a bigger release coming with a bigger budget, then yeah, do those platforms I listed then, but Banks do a lot of talk and don’t deliver. This ain’t the first time he said he was working on multiple projects. We knew he was doing the media this go round cuz when COTI1 dropped, Hovain said Banks wasn’t doing interviews til the next joint which ended up being this 1
Nore tried to get Banks on drink champs when COTI1 dropped. Is the snapshot shade 45 interview online anywhere?
Nah it’s not online yet, but Banks seems more focused than ever, especially having a manager now. If Banks was alone like in the mid 2010s then I’d say you were right, but he has kids now and people in his corner depending on him.
You can tell by the features and producers this is more in line with his mixtapes than albums. He just can’t make Datpiff tapes anymore because they’re irrelevant and nobody downloads music anymore but old fukks. Streaming killed downloads and mp3s.
Him not having a longer pre order campaign hurt this time too, it was only a week.
I agree they should of started promo 2-3 weeks earlier than they did...Alot of the interviews and shyt came out after which is fine but they could of gave themselves another 10 days before the drop
That’s cool man but last year they were all on some “y’all haven’t even heard the real heat yet” and “if you like this then y’all ain’t ready for what comes next” and people were getting hype thinking he had some big shyt in the vault only for the next release to be pretty much more of the same.
I ain’t mad about it but I’m not falling for that line anymore
