Yeah me neither I’m curious to hear the story on that. Far as I remember the closest they came to putting it out was when Banks gave that salty ass speech about the pre-orders needing to look right.

Yayo and Vado have the best guest verses on the project.

Vado was floating on that “Traffic” track: “it’s in my DNA to be pushing a DBA”

Production could have been better but Gotdamn this Albun makes me happy. I’ve said it before but Banks makes GRIND MUSIC. His shyt affects me differently than any other rapper, it’s motivating. He acknowledges shyt is hard out here, but you can WORK your way thru it.

I think this album would have hit harder if he dropped it in the winter also. It has that skully weather feel to it.

Either way dude blessed us.

Another dope project from Banks.

Glad to see him getting the love he always deserved as a wordsmith. No gimmicks or antics, just straight up lyrics and beats. Looking forward to those other joints he's cooking up too. He's been consistent forever.

No beef, no pretending to get shot, no showing up in areas during times when he knows other people want be there, no faking gay or putting on a dress to “be true to himself”, just straight up rapping. Who knew you could simply rap and get attention???

I wonder what’s the story on him being absent on COTI and returning for 1 joint on COTI2. Doe and the jerm are the best 2 to do Banks beats at the low price he clearly goes for. They’re also the ones that were doing those trap beats for the scrapper Gangsta Grillz so they clearly can get diverse wit it

Akademiks shaded Banks again on his latest Off The Record episode with Roy Woods. First time was last year when he criticized COTI 1 for sounding dated.

Roy Woods is signed to OVO, and Ak was comparing the amount of support 50 was giving the artists at G-Unit versus what Drake does for his artists, and how Drake seems completely uninvolved versus 50 making sure his artists go platinum.

Ak says "I dont wanna say a name, but when you see the type of music they just released, you really see they had no reason going 3x platinum back in the day"

Akademiks was a G-unit mega hater troll & Game stan on various forums back in the day before he did a 180 and started sucking dikk after he met 50 in 2018.

If you think I was a stan he was the exact mirror opposite.

So I’m not surprised he listens to every Banks album still lightly trolls, not to say he doesn’t have some valid criticisms.

The Griselda sound is only getting him praised from nerds and “real hip hop” heads, which might might be enough for him at this stage in his career, Akademiks is disingenuous if hes expecting Banks to come out with some smash hit that is gonna move his 33 year old self that’s addicted to drill music from teenagers
