I can't tell off top but does anyone know if the 1st one had 3 verses for every song? I noticed this one does and and want to know if the 1st one did too.

Actually, I think COTI 2 is all 2 verses, with the exception of the songs with features. I noticed when I was listening today. I'm used to Banks mostly doing 3 verse songs. But his verses are a lot denser than others so they still potent. I did find myself wishing that Socialize had 3 verses. Hell, I think 50 woulda been perfect on the second verse.
On COTI 1, he had 2 verses on Propane, Sidewalks, Crown, Commitment, Stranger Things, Drop 5, and COTI. He did do 3 verses on Death By Design, Break Me Down, Pain Pressure Paranoia, and Panic. Smoke and Mirrors was one long 2 minute 54 second verse before the chorus ended the song.
COTI 2 was 14 songs compared to COTI 1's 17. Definitely a shorter album this time around.

I'm going to double check COTI 2 but I thought all were 3 verses. I was like

Some of his best work.His Blue Friday loosies before HFM2 and in 2016 were album worthy. Can't forgot his 5 and better series (Cold Corners were a part of that).

Banks be havin nice schemes, bars, wordplay, etc and I think a lot of ppl let their opinion on his voice overshadow all the above. His voice or beat selection are literally the only 2 things that’s hit or miss for ppl.Value of a Check:

Some ppl can deal with his voice but can’t fukk with the beats cuz they don’t wanna hear dated sounded beats then you got others that don’t mind the beats but can’t take the voice.
Then you got the guys that can deal with both and just ask for him to get his stuff mastered. Me personally, I’m an advocate for Banks music being mixed right because if it’s not, some of his lines are either muffled or drowned out
