I feel like Breh would make for a damn good librarian for some reason

Evolution isn't always forward moving, Banks is a testament to that. Some people think he's advanced since 02-06 lyrically but to me he went a different direction, not forward or backward, just somewhere different. He's like 99% only focused on multis, to the point where the actual things he's saying have suffered, it's hard to even understand that jibberish he be talking about because he's not even that focused on it, just the syllable patterns. Royce does what he does with the multis but is still able to be totally understandable with the bars. That's just my 2 cents on Banks as an MC, , to me he's been retired since Rotten Apple flopped.

I hear ya...i think hes def moved forward content wise, lyrically he has too but lol i feel how you do bout banks, but about royce instead. Both great rappers tho. Everyone gotta stop ignoring his 2010 run and almost 2011 run lol

I don't know why you would ever retire as a solo artist or any job in which you don't have any obligations. While Bank's case is similar to an NBA moving to Tajikistan and playing in their 3rd tier league for 10 years and then announcing retirement from the NBA, I'm talking about in general. It's corny, like Jays thing, you want people to cry for you and shyt. Just take an indefinite break.

In a way I understand it. As dope as he is hiphop has changed a lot and it may be hard for him to be a major factor or star in today's game. He will always have his die hard following and could eat but the game just ain't the same and maybe that makes him feel this way or he just want's to focus on fatherhood.

Either way, he will be missed and I doubt it last for too long. We need that Cold Corner 3
