nah joe thomas, we need a ride wit u pt 2 :comeon:

yes joe budden  I don't personally care for him as a rapper BUT him putting his 1st verse in years on a banks song in the wake of all of the stuff surrounding him right now would bring a considerable amount of attention to banks' project especially if joe addresses some of it, the project being successful and reaching more than just banks' core audience is all I care about

Im thinking the same thing...Banks F's with Joe. Banks has called into his Podcast 2-3 times and had him on track in 2016 and they did two tracks together before 2016...It will bring eyes and streams to Banks projects. All press is good press even though I can't watch his pod anymore if it bring Banks more ppl im with it.

Actually I’d like another Joe Thomas & Banks song.

doesn’t seem like their will be the standard Chick record on her which might disappoint some of his female fans.

Let's see how well this performs
The album will be good that's for sure. I have no doubt with banks other than how much this is gonna sell.

I really hope it does good numbers and motivates him to keep going

Hope Banks releases the original track if he removed his verse, I'd prefer the extra Banks verse ova Gibbs :unimpressed::yeshrug:
Why do y’all think he removed a verse? I looked at some of the preorder screenshots and before Gibbs was added, the track was 2:57, now its 4:15

looks like all he did was add him

I think at best he's selling 20k which is what the last G-Unit EP did with 6 songs, at the start of streaming being incorporated into the billboard 200.

He's been #1 in iTunes preorders since he dropped it even with Lil Baby, Durk, Billie Ellish & Polo G dropping their preorders, although this doesn't matter much because they're streaming artists.

game and fab's last albums did 5k in physical/digital sales in 2019 no idea if that included bundles before they were taken out of the chart. Game sold 23k, Fab sold 41k

So I'm thinking banks sells 6-15k 1st week in the US which is around Benny The Butcher numbers

They have a good track record too. They’ve done at least 3 songs I know of, and I like all 3.

I wish Banks would go back to his G-Unit mixtape days with the rapping, :hubie:

I respect that yall like this new Banks...but to me the shyt he be saying is like 75% borderline gibberish...not gibberish but immaterial...pointless bars that are only there to fit a rhyming pattern. Too much focus on rhyme patterning...not enough focus on what's actually being said.

Stans don't come at me bro, lol, I mean no disrespect, it's still Big Queens all day...just my opinion. Listen to that last Flex freestyle...lol, that shyt was mostly just non-sequitur mumbo jumbo that sounded good because of the rhyme patterns,. Flex aint know wtf that man was talking about 90% of the verse...and neither did you.

Nobody is mad at this opinion but you're the same person that gets on 50 Cent for his simple abc rhymes yet you can't decipher metaphors that aren't simple like "My heart is colder than sandwich meat" or "this could get uglier than the master p sneaker". Banks is rapping with high school level vocab at best and you're having trouble. :lolbron:

Make it make sense:mjlol:

What is hard to understand about this? :russ: Some of ya'll be telling on your reading comprehension skills.

Are you insinuating that Banks was trash during the G-Unit mixtape run? And are you also saying that his metaphors are just too complex and I may be missing them due to the complexity? Lol, salute...I vehemently disagree with both.

Lupe Fiasco, Daylyt and Los are in my top 5...just to establish my wordplay/metaphor/complexity susceptibility. It's not a "complexity" issue with Banks... it's a filler issue...bars be full of filler that rhymes well structurally. If Banks does this stage battle...trust me...it will stand out clearly when you hear the crickets, lol.

But salute to you...I'm not trying to sway nobody away from him, I just personally ain't into the "rhyming well but not saying shyt" thing. And I wasnt really into his punchlines back then...like you highlighted, they were never really complex or that good, he just did it a lot...when I say I miss that Banks I moreso mean voice/pace wise. His flow is much better now, I'll give you that...I think he may be over focusing on flow tho and not the actual lyrics

No I was saying that banks isn't that deep or hard to understand even with what you call "filler bars", so if Lupe and them are in your top 5 I don't see how you can't understand new Banks.:why:

Most of his new shyt is subs at people and aren't filler you'd just have to have context to know who or what he's talking about. I prefer G-Unit Banks from a music perspective because he was more upbeat but he raps better now if you're not into punchline rap.
