Salute, respect that.I think I'm a good person to give input on this, because I'm not a Banks stan and don't have verses memorized from his 2010's mixtapes, but a couple times a year I get into the mood to bump them (especially FNO) and give them a spin.
I think the reality is in the middle. He's definitely got a heavier focus on rhyme patterns and cadences, but it's not total non-sequitars and gibberish either. Because I like a lot of non-sequitar bars, and I'd have taken notice if I thought that's what Banks was doing. I think there's definitely some coded stuff on there, and his content kind of builds on itself, so a lot of bars are easier to catch on repeated listens, or after hearing previous songs from previous tapes. But sometimes I do lose what he's saying too, and I think it's not always as deep as some Banks stans say it is.
He's not DOOM, Ka, or Mach levels of density and coded lyrics, but he's also not just rhyming to rhyme words about nothing like Eminem either.
I think the truth is probably in between what you think and what Banks stans think.
Banks aint the only one tho...sometimes I think Royce relies too much on just patterns too...at the expense of what he's actually saying, he's not as OD with it as Banks tho. Even in battle rap, Aye Verb is like that too, just rapping well but not really saying nothing.
But yeah, maybe I'm overly critical of Banks but it's only because I see he gets so much praise from people, particularly on here, for being this top lyricist type dude. I don't hear that shyt...and I try, lol, I aint no hater.

No doubt. I actually think a lot of his 2019’s mixtapes are more cohesive sounding than some of his official albums.

- I got a feeling Banks has tracks OTW soon with either Joyner Lucas or Cole
yeah I’m keeping my fingers crossed but expecting something really low sales wise first week. But you can bet the people who do cop first week will continue bumping throughout the year so that might help with streams. I honestly don’t care about sales just hope Banks can eat a little off this one since he dropped so much free shyt for us between 2010-2017.

My home boy been goin to Banks IG the past few days for updates n shyt... I think he’s ordered everything off the Bank vault site. From going to the page so much, this fool noticed Banks started following Gibbs, Joyner and Cole all throughout the week then said they all follow him now too then out the blue.. Gibbs gets added to the track list
