y'all are buggin, the beat wasn't bad at all. You need to hear this on some good speakers in the whip to be appreciated. Not the best beat in the world but it still bumps. Though 9th wonder's beat brings it new life, i don't mind this the original version on the album.

It's a terrible beat that sounds like some Fisher Price shyt...but I still kinda like the track man. The hook, the verses....dope, just needs a better beat.
:yeshrug:

Even worse, the way it's sandwiched between two amazing tracks/beats. Album starts with Get Down...yea the sample was used before but that shyt was dope, and I loved how the beat changed when he started rapping about the south and west coast. Classic. And then afterwards Made You Look. Classic break, unique flip of a recognizable sample, Nas bodies it.

Maybe whoever sequenced the tracks was hoping Nas would say "hold on, this shyt sounds terrible between these two dope beats. Let's switch it up"
