Logic has often been the target of Joe Budden, and now he speaks out about how Budden's vicious criticisms aided in his depression.

No one can really pinpoint why Joe Budden has such a seething hatred for Logic. The podcast host has regularly spoken ill of the No Pressure rapper, occasionally calling out his skills on the mic. Budden has emphasized that Logic is one of the worst rappers to ever step into the game, and he doubled down on that sentiment when Logic recently announced his retirement. Later, Budden apologized on his podcast, adding that he was projecting some of his personal issues onto Logic.

While chatting about Budden's dislike for him on Hot 97 recently, Logic admitted that he wasn't sure where the beef stemmed from. “He doesn’t like me for whatever reason. He wants to say I’m not Black enough, I’m not good enough. He’s a person who’s led to part of my depression, some of my darkest spaces." Then Logic almost directly told Budden, "Your words, they make people want to kill themselves, bro."

Logic recently shared that some of the "darkest, deepest" points of his depression came at his "most famous." According to Logic, No Pressure is his final album, but he'll continue to make music on his own time privately. Check out Logic's interview with Hot 97 below.

I assume he never participated in a battle, because he wouldn't have survived that shyt. There's going to be shyttalking. You have to be able to take some criticism. Either deal with it head on or keep it moving. Don't ever let the words of another man get to you like that. I know it can be easier said than done, but come on man... its fukking Budden of all people.

This here is exactly why I dont fukk with Logic. The crying on the radio didn't help either.

Joe been apologized like a week or so ago
For shytting on his retirement, not for making breh feel suicidal

Joe has spent his entire career documenting his depression and suicidal thoughts, no way he doesn’t use that in his apology

I’d say if this was just Joe I’d tell Logic to man the fukk up, but I’m pretty sure all of his critics tell him the same shyt, I can see that leaving a mark mentally over the years:yeshrug:

we really are entering territory where you can't really say shyt about anyone anymore without it leading to accusations that you're contributing negatively to someone's mental health. won't be able to critique anyone soon

to be fair I'm saying that with no knowledge of how deep budden went with his comments etc. but still, my point remains
