No doubt. I remember in Junior High I got a stinger from a tackle, made my arms going completely numb for like 30 seconds and made me puke on the sideline a few minutes later.crazy story, as much as I love football, if I have sons they won't be playing it. Call it reactionary or whatever you want. I can think back to a time when I was 12-13 years old playing, had a head on collision with a LB and just saw a white flash after point of contact. Talked to dude after practice and he told me the same thing, neither of us knew what happened on the play, just went back to the huddle and lined up for the next snap. And this is before our bodies developed, imagine being 200+ pounds, doing that week after week. That's some scary stuff to think about in hindsight
No f'in thanks.
In my town, their is a flag football league for youths that has started getting popular and I would let me sons play that where they could still get the fun and athletics of the game without the contact.
