What some good investment portfolio books for those who know nothing.

Personally I'm not about that stock market life. Day trading seems enormously stressful to me. I'd rather buy local businesses (i.e.: restaurants, night clubs, gas stations, convenience stores, etc.), hire someone to run it, and live off the dividends.
I want to be in a 5 star hotel somewhere in French Riviera with two busty Brazilian girls topping me off while I earn money on auto-pilot. I don't see the appeal of balding and living through an elevated blood pressure while trying to keep up with the markets.
