Meaning individuals didn't play D, it was more of a team "concept", not saying it worked:pachaha:

LOL!!

Got you. I remember thinking the Celtics "double team" was the greatest defensive innovation on earth until the Pistons came through.

LOL @ Magic and Bird being one dimensional.

They were elite playmakers, rebounders, scorers and they played team defense.

That's not the definition of a one dimensional player!

Magic....was a one...dimensional...player.

Does it mean that he was a retard on defense? No....

If he's not a bad defensive player then you can't say he's a one dimensional player.

Or are we redefining the term "One dimensional"?

Reggie miller was one dimensional. Not Magic Johnson

Magic was not a liability at the defensive end, but he also wasn't a factor throughout his career.

Dude is my all time favorite player. I have no problem in knowing this as a part of his career.

I'm not about to call Bird vs. Nique or Worthy showdowns an example of great defense being played.

shyt, Magic couldnt play a lick of defense. You had to hide Magic on somebody defensively

Perfect example is Kevin Johnson destroying him in the 1990 Conference Semis. Any guard with speed, quickness, and ability to penetrate would give Magic fits

Nobody is saying Magic was a defensive stopper, we're just saying he was a good enough defender where you can't say he's "One dimensional".

I'm a Magic fan....

Dudes are in denial. There was a time where you had to be scared to put him on Michael midget Adams.

He was one dimensional. He didn't give you anything defensively other than PGs not being able to abuse him in the post.

I always wonder how cool it was back in the 80s on CBS and seeing a rare Jazz game or the Nuggets or Knicks and watching Dantley, English, or King go off on a crazy scoring game on a Sunday.

WE take it for granted now, but that shyt must have been :wow:

Bernard also played no D....but that niqqa would use his chest to shoot over any niqqa in front of him.

Yes..."they" weren't. That didn't speak for the leagues stars.

Oscar Robertson shat on Pistol Pete for not having any D.

Magic was a PG who won Finals MVP his rookie year playing Center in that series. Mods lock thread.
