Without getting into too much detail. P didn’t have his financial affairs in order at the time of his passing. His estate owes a (fairly significant) amount of money to some Mobb Deep and Prodigy trademark holders. The parties cannot come to a mutual agreement. P’s estate thinks the ‘you owe us’ people want too much, and they don’t want to budge from what I understand. Im pretty sure that the reason you can’t find much P solo material on streaming platforms is because his estate pulled what they have enough ownership of down in order to not pay people that don’t like for an amount they don’t think is fair.
Until it gets cleared up we won’t be getting any unreleased P music. Which is a lot, just like you said. There’s hundreds of songs. Hegelian Dialectic 2 and 3, a Mobb Deep album produced by Alchemist, a Prodigy album produced by Alchemist, and a lot more.

I know breh. The fukked up thing is I think if we were all honest, the most money to be on Mobb Deep has been made already. Listening deals for songs like Shook Ones, Quiet Storm, Keep It Thoro. Etc.

I’m speaking outta pocket because I don’t have all the knowledge, but I think the smartest way out would be to try to negotiate whatever projects are completed. The was w Mobb Deep Alchemist album slated for 2017, the Hegelian Dialectic parts 2 and 3, and the Albert Einstein sequel. Negotiate over those 4 albums to free up the other material .
It’s also sad because it’s been over three years since we lost P, and a lot of younger generations that could get put onto to his legacy or not able to right now because so much of it is missing from streaming platforms.

He was a dude that P and Hav had as an understudy. He’s dropped 12 projects this year. One a month including this new one with Havoc. Pete Rock produced one of them too. He had a dope verse with Conway and Banks and Hav on Conway’s new album too. He held his own.
