I don't know why people think he's untouchable, Royce has gotten him on numerous occasions.
Eg. Most of Bad Meets Evil album.

Which pissed me off when they cut Royce's verse from Fastlane on 2K.

Like really? "Screaming Shady til I die, like I got a pair of dice"?

"Before I get on a roll... Danish"?

Didn't watch all of it, but from what I gathered it's just him saying he feels other rappers more lol
This music shyt eventually comes down to opinion and everyone's going to lean towards the rapper they prefer, pointless arguing it
If you like someone, you like them, if not, just don't fukk with their shyt
Like for example, some motherfukkers think Drake outrules Eminem, personally I think that's bullshyt and Drake's just:trash::trash::trash:
basing on his technicality, lyrics and rhyme schemes
also the fact that he's more of a pop singer smh

LOL at giving us Wiz and Game's opinion like any hip hop head would take them seriously.

How seriously would you take a Chuck D, Kool G rap, Rakim, BDK, Caz?

Not that co-signs mean that much in the grand scheme of things, I just think it's funny how it's such a debate when Lord Jafar says what he says about Em but when people who are credible GOAT contenders as far as rappin goes say differently it's written off as some sort of PR move or bias.

I fukk wit lord jamar, i might not agree with him most of the time. But he a cool nikka, who stays true to himself. Kinda down to earth dude, be saying some funny shyt.

theres a reason he on that vlad couch, he entertaining.

i only really fukk wit mmlp em, and the shyt he did on 2001 with dre. That dont mean i dobt respect and acknowledge his talent. Hes dope and he could go in. But thats not all there is to it.

Em is nice. But who would u rather bump. Smoke, vibe, ride, get head and drink to. Eminem "hi my name is" "cleanin out my closet" "feels so empty without me na na na na na" "fack", "ass like dat, boing, boing, boing"

or some hot shyt like this by nikka 2chainz, keep it real.

cmon man, dont give me that technical lyrical bullshyt. U gotta be out ya damn mind to ride around smokin to eminem hi my name is, u might as well wear a fukkin helmet lol.

Uncertain grounds
SSLP was his best album, undoubtedly to me. MMLP was quality (but increased the shift to cornier singles). Every other album gets the 2.5-3.5 :camby:

He has battle cred, dope freestyles and has been between good to outshine/outclass on a good amount of songs he was featured on.

That doesnt add up to GOAT to me..or top 5..i wouldnt put him top 10 (maybe even 15) on personal preference but can understand the arguments as long as they dont hinge on any albums after MMLP as a legitimate crutch.

with that said, everyone has their own taste and ears for music so :manny:

however..some of the names dropped in here? :patrice:some things i just cant fathom and have to roll my eyes or shrug

Given a choice I'd listen to Relapse before SS anything.

And how in the fukk do you know what version of who they were co-signing?

Nothing wrong with not being an Eminem fan...but I continually see people who say they don't listen to him, never listened to him or haven't listened to him since XYZ also play like they are experts on his music while reducing his catalog to "fack".

I would take it a little more seriously but let's be real: in probably every circumstance, Em got shoehorned into the convo by the interviewee when Em might not have been mentioned at all.

I know with Rakim, Kool G Rap and Caz, it was literally the interviewee (all White, aint that surprising) that said: 'what about Eminem? is he one of goat?'

shyt's disingenuous.

I get your point and I sorta agree with you. With that said, who is more likely to pull off a PR move? An established rapper like Rakim or a past-his-prime rapper like Lord Jamar?

Eminem needs therapy. That cac raps about killing his mother, killing random women and conquering a drug addiction. Straight weirdo status. He raps like he stayed w/ a thesaurus. Stanzas full of hot air. He couldn't crush a 16 w/ a potbelly n some beers.

Most def, about as disingenuous as when he when he does it with Jamar. Only difference is it generates a hell of a lot more traffic.

:leostare:

1. Rakim is a top 5 candidate and an architect of modern day emccing but his run didn't last as long as it should have due to the the shift the game made in the early 90's. He was already being talked about as being "old school" by nikkas that should have been his peers. He was more or less "past his prime" or at the end of it as Brand Nubian was getting on.

2. PR is PR. Not that I don't believe that Lord Jamar doesn't believe what he's saying...I mean an integral part of his religious philosophy is the belief that the white man is the devil and were created in a lab by a scientist with an abnormally large head.

But if we are talking about who's more "established" between the two, LJ is definitely more socially relevant right now, even more so than Ra post aftermath. More so than at any point in his own solo career while we're at it...and not because of his music or revere... but because of his rants.

You are entitled to disagree, but like I mentioned I don't just think K-Rino is better than Eminem, I think he shyts on Eminem from a GREAT height. Since you haven't heard all K-Rino"s work though and are a troll I don't take your opinion seriously. I don't see how someone could say Eminem over K-Rino realistically because K-Rino is that much superior, from discography to lyrically to content to voice to conceptually and creatively. In 99 percent of cases i imagine anybody who said that would probably have some ignorance or bias there I feel. It's not even close, there may be some names on there that are closer, K-Rino isn't 1 of them. But people have a right to agree and disagree, I'm not tripping over that just strongly disagree.

Slug again I think has made much more timeless music that holds up. That shock value bullshyt gets old quick if people even fukked with it in the first place, Slug has classic songs on issues that are are substantive. Lyrically and MC wise it is arguable but as an artist I put Slug ahead certainly.
